Nice coin, but I'm wondering about the slab insert. Is it greenish? What type holder is it? Looks unusual to me after trying to identify at the PCGS slab history link:

I picked this one up that just arrived. I think it’s solid for the grade assigned and it looks good in my set that I’ve been slowing working on for years.
Thanks for looking,
Joe
The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
Another Peace dollar for my slowly growing peace dollar collection. This 25-s I find very attractive. Ricko would have approved of this white lustrous dollar. Any imperfections are exaggerated in this image.

I'm incredibly sad I didn't get to make it to the ANA show. I took off work to go on the first day, but I ended up staying home due to warnings about heavy snow and dangerous driving conditions on the way there. How did you like the show and how was the weather?
Too bad you didn't make it, I am fortunate to live 10 minutes from the venue and also had taken work off. While we did end up getting wet heavy snow measure in feet, it was above freezing both days and the main roads were wet, though don't standing water in the roads, my residential streets were terrible but all the main roads were fine. It may have been worse towards Denver, not too sure about that.
The show was great, nearly all the dealer tables were set up and well stocked with a great variety of coins, currency and bullion.
I find a handful of pieces I was looking for, the SLQ was one i need for my dansco set and a little lower grade but the color matched the rest of set so I couldn't pass it up. The Proof mercury also matches my registry set in terms of grade and color, and was a real nice coin in hand. There were a handful of others I was considering but I'm traveling internationally this week and due to the trip I had to stick to my lower budget. The coin displays did not disappoint, I was glad to see the finest known 1943 bronze cent and a few incredible large cents. The collector exhibits were nice, but nothing there was really an area of my expertise, lots of ancients and ancient gold, lots of currency. I didn't spend much time because I wanted to get in and go shopping. Here are some other pictures, I realized after leaving I didn't get any pictures of the bourse unfortunately. I was there early Thursday, attendance at the show was definitely lower than in the past for obvious reasons, but I left at about 2:00 Thursday and it was starting to get busier when I left. I will say the show did not disappoint and I hope everyone had a great time.
I appreciate the write up. Seems like you had a great time. Sorry it took so long to reply, I forgot to check back up on this thread.
This just arrived -- one that's been on my list a long time, and a super welcome addition in my collection. That'll probably be it for me this year. Just realized yesterday, tomorrow makes my 20 year anniversary on the board -- nice way to celebrate.

congrats @mirabela on your years of service here, and beautiful addition, love the pan pac gold!
Thanks -- don't know about service, pretty sure I've gained more than I've given by hanging out, but there's no rule against that, LOL. And yeah, that Pan Pac $1 is high on the list of things I've coveted forever. Pleased as punch to have it here.
Another fun one for @alefzero - I'm now a quarter of the way through the Challenge 50 (although I probably won't be aggressively pursuing some of the minor die varieties until I can find a 76-S DDO....so, not soon )
I just got these GSA Morgan & Peace Dollars today. The hard packs are 1883 O MS63 & 1991 S (going to CACG). The soft packs are 1879 O, 1880 O, 1889 O, 1921 P, & a 1923 P Peace (all going to NGC).

@Catbert: the closest I can come up with is the Gen 4.4 between 2005-2011. The color of the insert is a bit baffling.

if you finish peeling off the green CAC layer, you will have an ultra rare CAC silver sticker...

No, it’s gold. Someone colored it green.
Very impressive set👍😎

Low dollar, but what an excellent and effective example to a type set the Satin Finish coins can make.
Having fun while switching things up and focusing on a next level PCGS slabbed 1950+ type set, while still looking for great examples for the 7070.

Just received this 1938 S Mercury Dime I won in auction and I was lucky bidding what I did.
