Here's a nice intersection of my interest in numismatics (in this case exonumia to be specific) and photography. This is an NGC MS64. Undated, but from the 1850s. A lot flashier than I was able to show in the pics.

I don't actually have this little piece of old west history in hand yet, but I should by this time tomorrow.
I wonder if this thing was ever in the pot in a poker game or the object of desire causing a gun fight?
It certainly did it's share of commerce.
Taking a “flyer” on this one. With an original mintage of 18,791, most entered circulation. This one’s problem free & fairly graded. Negotiated a good price, so why not?
Graded PCGS F15; true view is hideous, so I won’t post it here.
This is an original roll from a bank vault from the 60’s. I’m hoping to find some beautiful key dates but if not I’ll have some very nice uncirculated Peace dollars. I have high hopes. I’m pretty sure they’ll also be toned up nicely.
Thank you😊
The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Are you going to record an “unboxing” video? I’d love to see what you got. Good luck!
I also just now purchased what appears to be an earlier die state of the same token where the die was cracked but not yet shattered (that’s my theory at least)
@crazyhounddog
Good luck, buddy. Let us know with pics how it turns out.

Finally finished the 3rd page and hardest of my 7070. Only leaves the 2 Liberty Seated Dollars and I'm done. This 1836 CBQ B3 EDS(my opinion, tell me if I'm wrong) has caught my interest mainly for it's size, which is closer to the Twenty Cent Piece. 24.3mm vs 22.0mm is close in size and I truly like its feel in my hand moreso than the type 1 27mm CBQ. Were I to become a collector of the CBQ it would only be the Type 2. Let me know what you think about the coin.

This is #9 of the 20 needed for the 1916-1921 early years. The 1918-D is an exceptionally tough date a bit overshadowed by the 1919-D, 1921-D & 1921-S. This example is quite nice in detail with attractive eye appeal. Note the contrast, though, between the GC pic & the True View. The GC pic more accurately depicts the coin.

Funny, I just bought an ‘18-D as well, just a bit rougher than yours.
I also got a 1918 and a 1929-D

Yes, they are my favorite US coin design. I only have seven different dates so far, but I am going for a Fair-Good set bought raw.

Phil, you cheat -- you know how to take photos, I have to steal pictures of my coins from you and two other auction houses that I deal with.
p.s be kind to my 09-svdb 64RB rattler, make it look purdy.
Down to just a few left for a moderately graded date set.
Anyone have leads please pm me.

I would think that PCGS could come up with a better way to holder your coin, it looks kind of amateur IMHO.

Just can’t resist those toned IHC’s! Plus, 3 of the 4 are fairly tough varieties.

Anxiously awaiting this one’s arrival…
One I did not expect to purchase due to cost:
These two D mint additions should arrive this week.
1851-D XF45/CAC and 1857-D AU58/CAC.
The 1857-D is a tough D mint issue to find with CAC approval.

Almost looks like it's just loose in the holder, living up to it's name as a true rattler.
Throw a coin enough times, and suppose one day it lands on its edge.
It's actually secure in place but I haven't tried shaking it.
