    Nice one Phil!

Wow, how the heck did I miss that! B)

    I think he's been fishing @jayPem

That might have been the lure! He was going for Beardslee Trout!!

    the rest of the story:

Bout 15 or so years ago, I used to frequent CoinZip boards. https://coinzip.proboards.com/ (they are still out there. don't know if Alan
is still in charge but at the time it was THE place for Bust discussions and pictures.

A number of BHNC'rs were there sharing all the knowledge this newbie could gobble up.

One of the contributors was a gentleman going by the name Biddlesbank, nice guy.......

I was talking to him about the Bearded Goddess and he said he had the Ugliest one out there.......
long story short I became her caretaker around 2010 or so..... She was my pocket piece and Poker card protector
for years, (always in an airtight). Still take her on dates a few times a year.

The only fishing we do is on the Poker tables.

Yes Todd wondered HOW you missed the original post.

    @habaraca

hahaha! Great story. I remember Biddlesbank. He was here for a while too. That would sure get a few looks on the Poker table, but especially if some 'Nuts were playing.

No clue how I missed the thread except it looks like you posted while I was probably composing mine and I never looked behind my post.

As for Beardslee Trout, they are an exclusive species found in Crescent Lake, WA, just outside of Port Angeles. Biggest one I ever caught was probably 4.5 lbs on a fly in a Float tube. I've seen 12-plus pounders. I've heard of bigger still.

I wonder what coin I'm gonna look at today with my coffee?

Believe it or not, it's that crusty AG 55/54 because I just received it. It looks great. I gave it a 10-minute soak in acetone and none of the color was removed, but some scratches and hairlines were exposed, which is typical if they're there. The obverse looks fine. The reverse retains this dark film or stain on the wings. How would PCGS handle this? Could this be restored without dipping the glory out of the coin?

It sure looks great in a Cointain.

Northwestern just beat Illinois in a wild 4th quarter 45-43.

This has been a GREAT Saturday!!! High Five to @1northcoin and CoinRaritiesOnline!

I think the film would have to stay, any attempt to remove it would look noticeably off, IMO. Don't see any reason why it shouldn't straight grade for what it is, if that's your goal.
