A day without fine wine and working on your coin collection is like a day without sunshine!!!

My collecting “Pride & Joy” is my PCGS Registry Dansco 7070 Set:

Cool pieces. There's a little lever behind them that makes them move around. The musician plays his accordion, and the bearded man removes his hat in a greeting.
Cheap fun at $10 for the pair

What oh what should be my first contribution on this fine thread???

Love Token bracelet I put together for my Bride of 53 years. took about 2 years to find all the coins, then
cut down a Tiffany chain to mount them on.

The wife and I are on the ends, then from left is Daughter, Amanda, then the 4 Grandchildren.
    A true labor of Love.......

Awesome piece you have done an excellent job putting this together

    Nice stuff @Barberian

Thanks for sharing with us today! I really dig the 57-S, and the backstory of that issue for you!

Not a coin, but coin related. I have been doing some studying last night and this morning. Had an assignment to complete.

It was so much fun to do so! It was an interesting and exceiting submission for me. To see TrueViews of coins I've had for a long time is a real kick. The 55/54 overdates straight grading is like receiving a cherry-picking merit badge for profiting off knowledge attained in this hobby. Here's another one - an early die state VF20.

These late Civil War dates are hot these days. I'm glad I grabbed these years ago.

Having my coffee on the porch again and taking a look at that Chilean Peso! Love it
Your Latin American Collection must be really advanced now. Can't wait to see it displayed one day at one of the big shows

I'm also loving the 57s and your story 👍
I totally get it, faint tic tac toe graffiti on the reverse is no good, but that gorgeous Chinese graffiti on the obverse is cracker
    😀

Yes! There is a big difference in my mind. The chopmark doesn't bother me as it's part of its usage in commerce, but I also don't expect it to command a premium over unmutilated coins of the same grade. Clear evidence of some bonehead deliberately defacing a coin bothers me.

I'll use a convenient excuse like this to take liberties and weasel out of buying a $1500 straight-graded replacement. Risks and shortcuts were taken in assembling my collection along the way. For example. I doubt I'll replace my sweet 53-O A&R over a scratch.

    Good morning all.

I started my Saturday morning with coins early. Yesterday evening I spent time getting reacquainted with various coins in my collection including ancient coins, world coins, raw MS clad quarters I collected as a YN, and slabbed 1939-1970 proof and SMS sets.

I have recently submitted multiple additional coins to out host for grading and hope that some of the newly graded coins will upgrade many of my Registry Sets.

    Happy Saturday folks.

Great images this morning @JWP @pcgscacgold and @Downtown1974

Especially love the Capped Bust Gold!!

Fresh coffee this morning, Italian Roast with Half and Half, pealing open my eyes from a somewhat fitful sleep. I had some dental work this week, and had to take a little pain medicine, which always leaves me a little brittle around the edges.

    .
Someone said 1811, and I feel just a little cracked, so how about this one
