@Catbert I agree with you. They look like they have seen a lot of history used in commerce, but pulled out of circulation while there is still plenty of meat on the bone. There is nothing better IMO, than seeing a 7070 album full of coins with that consistent theme.

I'm getting my collection ready for Halloween with this piece. My most recent acquisition. It's a very rare 1805 medal by Friedrich Loos. It commemorates Dr. Franz Joseph Gall, the creator of the pseudo science of phrenology.
Only one has been certified by PCGS.

I added these two to my MS64 V nickel collection yesterday. The 1889 has a super solid strike, which is one of the primary things I look for in this series since many are not well struck. The 1909 is what I would call a "95%" strike since all stars are well formed, and the left corn ear is complete but the individual corn kernels are hard to make out.
