I have a little bit of a thing for die-variety Lincoln cents, and I've always liked the wartime steel cents (used to be pretty common in change when I was a kid).
My first MS-65 Morgan Dollar! And one that I was missing.Getting there very slowly.Gezzz! All the tougher dates take some time.Don’t think I will ever get them all, just most.Still fun anyway.
I assume "Selective gold plating" and "Space printing" means someone took an original coin, and uh, "improved it"? Is that what this is?
Yes. They used a one-ounce Canadian silver Mapleleaf.

Been wanting to pick up one of these ever since I saw it flipping through the redbook when I first started getting into the hobby when I was 8. My first CAC approved coin also.
@MtnCreek29 , good looking half dime. Looks to be an LM2, somewhat early die state. Not super early as the big obverse die crack is visible but lots of the other degradations on both dies have yet to appear on your example.

An addition to my MS V nickel Registry set. My goal is all MS64/64+, so I will upgrade it later (it's a 62), but I like the obverse die crack.

From dentils down between T3 and E2 to B. From dentils to top serif of F at right across wing tip towards A2. Fine die cracks?
That does appear to be a die crack from the F to the A on the Reverse.
This thing is hammered with full detail both obverse and reverse. I would be willing to bet with a covered label some would give her a 62/63 grade.

Die cracks looks so cool in gold.
On its way to me - 1911 Great Britain proof set in original case. 1/2 crown to penny. Bit of a gamble based on images.

I need one of those because it is my birth year and coin roll hunting has not provided me one so far.

A nice addition to my everyman 19th-century typeset with gold came in today. Too bad these diminutive coins don't move the needle on rank.
