I came across a box of my son's old Marvel cards while cleaning out a closet and with Venom: Let there be Carnage recently getting released I thought that these two would make for a cool Card(s) of the Day.
These are from the 1994 Marvel Masterpieces Hildebrandt Brothers Holfoil Silver insert set. There were also Gold & Bronze parallels too.

Sabathia is a lock HOFer. 3,000+ career Ks punched his ticket. 19 guys have achieved that, 14 of them are in the HOF, and 2 are still active. That leaves only Clemens (steroid allegations), schilling and CC (not yet eligible) as 3,000 K guys who haven’t been inducted.
Gulp!!…I thought this card was a myth…now I know it’s real…The force will be with you…always.
It's technically the first one to get graded PSA 10. There were two that graded 10 in the lot that was submitted years ago. It's brother card is numbered *7840 and just sold for $55k a couple weeks ago. It had a pop of 2 when I acquired it about 16-17 years ago...for $100.

I really love Star Wars and it’s place in both movie and non-sport card collecting history. Thanks for sharing your card image and your story!
The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Or the one. Live long, and prosper.
No one really knows if he will even make it to the big leagues but I’m one of the many who believes this kid has what it takes. Still just 19, he’s all potential and no accomplishment but he certainly has the Yankees organization (and their fans) excited. This upcoming season - just his second in the minors - will go a long way toward his development and a better determination of when he might be ready for prime time.
Oddly enough, scans can sometimes dull the beauty of these modern refractors. With some trial and error, the front really “comes alive” in a regular photograph more so than in a scan…

Finding 500 examples of PSA 10 Leaf Frank Thomas' or 1990 Fleers Jordon's is easy a few mouse clicks and some spare cash and they are yours to brag about on instagram. Even finding certain Topps Test issues is very difficult, finding some in even remotely decent condition are but impossible!

Love that 3D card. Probably my favorite card of his other than his rookie.

One of the all time great actors is almost second fiddle on this card; the women swoon over the man and the men swoon over his ride. The elegance of the clear monochrome front combined with colorful back speaks to the duality of the famed secret agent whose covert missions on behalf of the Crown have delighted audiences since Ian Fleming first published the spy thriller Casino Royale seventy years ago.

Here's one that hasn't been posted yet, a Bulls Pocket Schedule from Jordan's rookie season. Orlando Woolridge is actually on the cover but if you open then fold it a certain way BGS will slab it with MJ on the front.
