Hey 51Wheaties,
Awesome job with your cuts!
Thank you, kindly. It’s a chance to be creative and flex some artistic muscles and as such, I really enjoy working with such items. I do like to be clear, though, that I don’t ever even consider doing this to a baseball card that isn’t considered hand cut.
To stick with the theme, I think this card may be in the thread already but it is the highest grade I have ever received for a hand cut card, it is a really unique and beautiful looking item (if I do say so myself 😂) and it is also currently the single highest graded example. While I imagine it is likely to be beat one day, it’s one of the items in my Mantle collection that I am always going to be proud of because I had a hand in shaping its appearance - with little guidance as to proper specifications - and someone besides myself deemed it the best they’ve ever seen, also, and slabbed it as such out in Newport Beach, CA…
I’m subbing mine at the Natty. It’s stellar IMO.
Kiss me once, shame on you. Kiss me twice.....let's party.
Just was going through some old cards and found this error. Pretty beat and not a big name but probably had this card almost 30 years and never noticed this.

hey omgjedi,
I like the Reese's up there...Pretty cool...
Love the 500 HR club bat card set and never see the Ruth available. Glad I grabbed this one many years ago as it’s at least the same look. Not sure why they did this as a stand alone and then a more SP for the set
Looking for a Glen Rice Inkredible and Alex Rodriguez cards

I'll be taking a break from posting these for a week or 2, as you are probably bored with all the raw autograph card postings.
This one was not self pack pulled. Picked it up at a show in 1998.
What’s wrong with a raw signed card inside a plastic holder?
Keep posting the goods!

One (actually two, since related) more by popular demand, thanks folks!
As I recall when the 1998 set was issued Donruss overlooked having the mail in certificate for the Koufax (LA Uniform) inserted. Donruss announced all who sent in the Billy Williams autograph card from same set would receive a Koufax with the same number.
During eBay's early days of the late 1990's days, there was much less competition than there woudl be in 2000 or later. I purchased/won my B. Williams from a 3 day eBay auction in 1998 and sent it in. Along with Sandy refractor, Donruss returned the Williams to me with "redeemed" in gold letters stamped on the back
Since not all B. Williams' were redeemed I do wonder what became of those remaining Koufax (LA) cards?
BTW these auto's at the start of this century were significantly more "valuable" than they are today. My lesson learned from back then as a card collector is never buy new product and I have not in nearly 20 years.
It's the singer not the song - Peter Townshend (1972)
Tige was better known as the Captain Greer on the Mod Squad - which too was way before my time although my Dad mentioned he was big fan of the show. Below is a Greer Squad Slab. The border are tilted but price was fair.

Card of the day is this often overlooked rookie of Ozzie Smith. The only card to be issued in his rookie season. Not an easy card to find in mint shape.

Purchased the redemption certificate and sent it away to UD. Another for which I am original owner but did not pull from pack - it represents the last card I have done that as in 2000 I stopped collecting new Sports Cards then a few years later stopped virtually all collecting of post 1980 Sports cards.

1989 Topps UK Minis. Lots of rough cut fun in this set (and OC, too).

1/3 in PSA 9. Acquired it for 1/3 of the market value from a kind gent who sold it to me for so much less. Fantastic tough sticker in the set.
Here’s an oldie but goodie…
…and the stripe on back is a match for the one on the back of this original envelope…

The card itself was not pack pulled by me as redemption certificates were inserted for the Stewart autos
light splash from the scan has the upper right area of the card looking weird.

Back when these were first available, I already was missing hearing their voices on NY MLB telecasts. Both picked up at local show.
