just purchased this, and can't wait for it to get here [hopefully not immensely jinxing myself for a pkg theft when it's in transit 🤞]

    >

well ... jinxed myself - just got a call from royal mint collector rep - said there was a 'catastrophic error' on their site and this coin should never've been listed [???]; it was 'never available' ...

terrible news as I was inspired to build a hastings trial set off this purchase and already made additional acquisitions towards those ends ...

was most excited as this coin had been through the 2020 trial, just before covid blew up around the world

lesson learned - only share to threads like this once coins in hand -_-,

@ɹoʇɔǝlloɔ I’m lovin that one noble!

thanks! it's a beaut in hand [in capsule 😅] - I swear 1 oz is contained in the billows of that sail alone, it sits so high off the obv surface - first 2 oz noble, bonus was a great deal from a seller in texas

It reminds me of the Canadian high relief Eagle I posted. I swear almost 50% for the eagle relief.....lol.
I have to research how they are minting them.......can’t be multi striking can they?

oh man - that high relief canadian series is so wild - really like them - beautiful coins, but cost to acquire ran away from me quickly - nice pieces to have in your collection for sure

No Date Kugler's Restaurant Brass NGC MS65

    Beautiful token Stef!

I love the Christmas theme and have been looking at these recently.

This is the first token I've noticed from S. E. Eby Co. of Philadelphia. Do we know anything about this company?

    Congrats on picking this up!

Hey @ZoidMeister - my CAC results for this coin have been posted. Not only was it not gold bean worthy, JA didn't think it was CAC worthy at all. Think I am done with them:

After the long winter of my discontent, I was able to secure this 79-CC for my Morgan Registry. Thanks to Steve at PQ Dollars:

My opinion, that one is gold CAC worthy . . .

    CONGRATULATIONS!

Q: When does a collector become a numismatist?

A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.

A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.
