Two New Purchases this year and both are upgrades. The 1948 s was the coin that kept talking to me until I bought it 3 weeks later. Just something about the strike and color that got me. Upgraded from a MS 66 to a 67 and Cac.
Second Coin is the 1964 DDR 801 and is MS 64 and upgrades the AU 50 I had in my Set. Another really Nice coin for the Grade and was picked up from member @davewesen
Enjoy Tom
Great looking “quaters” but I really like how the toning in the fields accentuates the devices on the 1964! Superb!

The white chalky surfaces on this coin appear to indicate that this coin has been puttied. The puttying of gold coins was fairly common during the OGH era and was done to hide hairline scratches. It will usually easily come off with acetone and seldom causes damage to the coin it was applied to.

Just got this pre Civil War $3. OGH and lower mintage that is not too scratched up. The scratches are on the holder. Original look that I liked. Bought from Grant at DGSE. Nice guy to do business with.

I agree. I like the coin. Plus I have bought several coins from Grant. Always top notch to deal with.
I'm expecting my 2020 "W" Quarter from "Tallgrass Prairie" any day now from our host. Your's are pretty cool. Esp. being the First Find and First Week of Discovery Designations. I'm hoping for a MS 66 or 67. Very clean of nics/hits. I have 12 more in my inventory. One 2019 Memorial W and 11 2020 Tallgrass Prairie W's. Contemplating about sending more in?

Trying to make 3 different sets.
One each of "First Week of Discovery, Early Find and just a normal business strike.
We will see how this goes as the "w" coins are only a filler for me as I would rather spend my cash on upgrading the Kennedy sets.
**1852 T. Parker Norwich Licensed Dealer in Game **
For all you fishmongers and hunters out there..........Rulau had this as a US token in his updated book. Fauver stated the names of Parker and Bagshaw both appear in Francis White’s History, Gazetteer, and Directory, of Norfolk, and the City and County of the City of Norwich … that was published in Sheffield, England in 1854. So, another US token that wasn’t ......and Fauver was right!

Not purchased yet but tomorrow I will. A roll of 1964d Roosevelts. She said she'd hold it for me. Both coin enders looks heavily toned or even rusty, along with some luster peeking through. She wants $100. I figure only $2 a piece ain't bad at all. 8 varieties in the 64d's. Wish me luck. Thanks. Oh yeah, it's an old wrapper too.

I love that it has an honest circulated look. It means it was actually passed around back in the early 19th century and who knows whose hands it passed through?

I missed a true monster VAM by about a minute...
With a little luck and reading thru the toning, I am pretty sure I found baby Godzilla the next day.
