I sure hope I didn’t post this one yet. I was going to wait until tomorrow when I receive some new pickups that go along with this theme. But, I’ll post this with the rest when I get them.
Who could resist the little dude log rolling anyway?!
.
In 1959 Oregon sure had there share of advertising tokens. Can’t beat a log roller competition! At the time it was the largest fair in the west since San Francisco World’s Fair of 1939. The expo began on June 10 and continued through September 17, 1959.
The exposition promised to “cover all phases of state activity with special attention paid to the basic exhibits of lumber, agriculture, electronics, powers, fashions, food processing, light metals, fishing and sports.

have this competition and climbing up a poll and cutting it down with an axe......lol nope, no cable tv
Well, i finally bought something that I really have no idea why I bought it . . . other than it being a quintessential "exonumia" piece, and I had to have it.
It's not in my hands yet, but I do have the sellers photos.
Yeah, it's a Daniel Carr piece . . . .
Only Dan Carr aficionados will "get it" I fear . . . .

Very nice! That is just as well struck as any proof! It's 100% all there. A very few 1913-D and S Var 1, 1913-S Var 2, 1915-S, and 1916-S are seen with a strike like that too.

This thread fell off my front page, so here is a bump with a coin I just received from Heritage. Thankfully the hit in the upper jaw area under the ear is not at all obvious in hand. The coin is CAC'ed and graded MS 67+.
Not a fan of red copper, but your example seems not to have that much red that is doesn't turn me off, in fact it looks like I have to take a second and third look.
FE/Indians use to be my series, had my Dansco filled to the brim with AU-MS including the 1877, 1856 was always in my dreams and always will be.

What's neat about the multi-strike is that they used the actual dies used for all the alternate sizes to do this one. You can see the decreasing weights in the smaller and smaller strikes.
