Got my first official "big two" TPG graded coin a couple days ago. I've been bidding on quite a few but always seem to value them lower than anyone else.
I've been looking for one these off & on for a couple years.
The white spots are on the holder.
I'm going to send it in for a crossover when I stop picking it up every few minutes.
BTW...1984 was the 1st year of the British 5 pound sovereign & the only one to have the 2nd portrait of the queen.
This one is not a proof as you can see by the little "U" to the left of the date. (my preference)
O-109 - high 1s and high N. Has a pretty sweet die clashing on the obverse. To the left of stars 9-12 you can see a full wing if you zoom in. You can also see some of the legend and scroll over the date and to the left of the 1st 1.
Posted in another thread, but it IS my latest purchase (please pardon the lint, just kept jumping on it...coin itself is spot/mark free, and on it's way to new owner tomorrow)
Based on the feedback from a lot of great folks on the forum, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on this colorful Morgan. Thanks to John at DLRC for the flexibility:
The Queen's Beasts - The Lion of England - 2021 Bi Metal £2 Coin
I'm a fan of Bi-Metalic coins. I wish the US Mints would join the 21 Century, like most other countries, and start issuing Bi-Metallic. But I'm not holding my breath.
My latest Tuvalu purchase. Yes, I know these are "minted" for them as a funding method. They do produce some very nice designs which I find it hard to resist. This is not the first I've bought of this type and will undoubtedly not be the last. I have some other countries "coins" minted like this also.
This one is (from the description) : Tuvalu 2021 Fu Lu Shou San Xing God 5 Oz .999 Ag. Mintage: 388. Antique finish Proof Piedfort. Enamel-like color in Ultra High Relief.
Can't resist old gold (and I don't mean the cigarettes)

I couldn't resist picking this up for the great color and design of the eagle!
This is from the first year of World War I.
Eventually, the Mark would become so devauled through hyperinflation that you could get 1 Billion Marks in a coin!
The following isn't mine but I'm looking for one!
I picked up an interesting "Salesman Sample" / store card token early today.

Beautiful!
I, for the most part, just started collecting US coins since COVID, so maybe all of mine are considered new additions...
Rather than post pics, maybe check out my 3 completed and 3 incomplete sets and drop a comment?
Thanx!
