I think I'll put in for the $50 refund with the Mint because it's within 30 days of purchase. Retail rules.

  • Options

I find this ironic. Got this in the mail today.

    Someone looks chagrined.

Can you provide a link to that policy? I’d like a $25 refund on the gold 1/2 oz.

I think somewhere in the fine print, this refund idea does not work.

I'm saving that issue. I'm saving the Coin Worlds about this one as well. Something to remember.

Easier to tell when they update the system if you look at the Mayflower coins. The golds have become available again.

I'm offended. I work for the government. It's 8:30, thank you very much. :) j/k

    LOL. Coffee until 9?

It's okay. I work for Academia. We don't even show up some days!!

[I wish I were kidding. I'm a 7:30 to 5 guy every day, but some of my colleagues... I was chairing a committee of 14 people and trying to find a meeting time (Pre-Covid). Every time I tried to fix a time, someone would say they "work from home on ...fill in the day...". There was no day where all 14 people even came to campus! LOL.]

This is very interesting from the letter:

"That said, more than 75 percent of 75th Anniversary End of World War II products were purchased by the Mint’s registered customers."

I'm wondering who the 25% of non-registered customers were?

They didn't sell ~500 privy AGEs at there retail shops did they?

I would guess that most of that 25% got the 1/2oz. gold coin or the silver medal. I don’t think it’s possible that they would have gotten the silver eagle or the gold eagle without and account. It’s just too slow.

Unavailable again. The Mayflower gold set has individually numbered C of A’s. I wonder if the sets will be distributed in any kind of order?

My point was - how can there be any % sold to non-registered customers?
I thought that the only customers eligible would have to be registered with an account.

But it appears that there is some entity other than registered customers that can get 25% of a product.

Guest checkout. The poster above already said that... no account needed to buy.

I was a non registered customer and got the V75 silver. Last year I got the ERP ASE. Found that checkout was quicker as a non registered mint customer for some reason.

Previous transactions: Wondercoin, goldman86, dmarks, Type2

You guys ever get and Oops error message when trying to check out from somewhere? I was just doing a checkout here and got an error... Oops... It was like ground hogs day, just a different site. Flashbacks and stress levels elevated...I had to remind myself not to panic, this is not a race, don't hurt the mouse! I have plenty of time to back up and reenter all the required information. :D
