Same happened to me in not noticing the time change. I suspect everyone on the West Coast was expecting the usual 9 am release time and all were shocked to find everything sold out at 9 am. Selling the coins during non-business hours at 6 am local California time resulted in half the usual demand. I am banging my head on my desk too. CA is the 5th largest economy in the world by itself and the Mint knocked us out with the time change.
Congrats to everyone who was able to complete a purchase! I will definitely be watching the "new" release times from now on and cursing the Mint until January.

I see these are NOT HOT on ebay, you have hopes of one via return/cancellation. no need to remind me about your 4:30am wake up time. I can only say at least you get it unsearched from the mint.
since these are NOT HOT... perhaps you can pick one up off ebay eventually... perhaps below issue price.
Everything Mayflower is currently unavailable and probably 50% of it is now on Ebay, just got in from a 13 hour day, thought there would be some scraps left, guess not. This is nuts everything is a sellout now? Heck I think they could sell limited bags of dirt and sell out.

check in tomorrow 7:30am eastern
I expect returns and cancellations.
It did take them 30-40 minutes to sell out of all but the silver medal.
you may even be able to get some for under issue price on ebay soon enough.
Out the door at 6 am, don't like leaving my guys short handed, and limited/spotty internet service in the field doesn't help. I'm grateful to have a job that's recession proof, Covid proof, can't be replaced by software or automation and all the OT I can stand. Saturday morning I'll give it a whirl.
Strange to me how the gold RP and two coin proof sets are available again now but the silver proof and medal never came up today, at least not that I saw.
Good morning, at 8:10am this morning Mayflower gold coins were available for purchase. I missed out yesterday but just ordered both gold coins (2-Coin Gold Proof and 1-Coin Reverse Proof). Order went through smoothly. Good luck if you are after one.

is it worth it to keep checking today after the 745 est release of the others? I saw someone say "one site refresh per day" on here - anyone confirm?

You might have had a lot of cancellations when the gold prices didn't pop on eBay. They were running around $1700 for the two-coin set which makes $1500 a lot of money to make very little. The silver 2 coin set was selling for $200-$250 on eBay which, at $150, makes it a better flip with less risk.
I am happy to report that I was able to get BOTH gold options this morning. I was online at 4:30/7:30 EST and clicked about 50 times and nothing appeared. I went back to bed and then around 4:50/7:50 I received a text from a friend on the East Coast that they were up. So now I guess the time floats around for any releases and we have to stay on top of it. Just need the silver set now. Let’s keep everyone informed of the releases so we can help out our fellow friends.
Thank you so much ebiuzgobro for the info and link. I was able to order the set from the UK. What a great community and thanks for taking the time to assist!
for all those who are collecting the us and uk options, the uk silver piedfort [different treatment than the uk silver in either the uk or us sets] is also still available on the uk site [somehow]; 2000 mintage on that one - the non-piedfort uk standalone silver is sold out however

It's rather amazing to me how many different coins the UK issued to commemorate this event. Is the Mayflower that legendary in the UK? I always thought of it as more a US concern.
That is bigger program than in the US. I haven't looked further but the only celebration here in the US I'm aware of is the Mint coins. Is there something in New England?
The RP is very nice with the ocean contrast and the ships. Edited to say I ordered this yesterday and received it this morning. That is some seriously good shipping and handling. One of the few times overnight was actually overnight. A big for the Mint handlers in Memphis for this one.
I checked this morning to see if the gold coins were gone. They are. I had a mild interest in them, but at $1,600 I decided to pass. I had a dentist appointment anyway which would have made hard for me to get involved in the frenzy.
Now it's over, and the flippers can enjoy themselves.
This was celebration of an event that is of national significance. With the study of history going to down the drain, it would have been nice if more collectors could have been involved, but the mint was interested in issuing another "modern rarity." I am really tired of this game.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
Comments
they will be available tomorrow morning and likely several days after
I would buy the sets and singles because I like them... except the single medal.
I think they are fairly good issues.
I'm going to pass because there is still the off chance the other half gets laid off.

I think the 9 AM ET time was to accommodate the British partner in these sets. Only a guess.

Medals never sell that well.
I was responding to Morgansforever's post stating "Everything Mayflower is currently unavailable...". I just didn't use the "quote" option.
Sorry. Hard to know what comment provided the context. But, still true: medals never sell that well. LOL Still available, in fact.
Gold available now.

No problem getting these today so I hurried and bought one of NONE !!!

LOL. I picked up another gold RP. I kind of like this issue.

This is interesting. The Mormons' Joseph Smith is a Mayflower descendent
