But you cut it out of the plastic? stacking these in sheets is the way to go! ;)

I had to unfortunately. It was that smelly PVC crap. :#

Usually I leave them in their original plastic, but this couldn’t stay. :(

I remember those coin boards too! That was when dimes were worth something. You could buy a comic book!

@jmski52 .... So true.... I wish I still had some of those dime comic books I purchased..... ;) Some of those are megabucks now...Cheers, RickO

Not Friday, but it’s been a long time since I have been able to add anything. LCS are closed, not venturing out much anyway due to COVID, and reinforcing the rainy day fund.

Any ways, I picked up these two coins to scratch both the coin itch and the “acquire gold itch”.

Now for my “what seems to be” never ending dilemma?, for those that also accumulate precious metals, would you rather have a nice type coin with lesser gold value ...in this particular case say a type 2 or type 3 gold dollar AU53-58 maybe CAC which could enhance your type set (ie already have one but it would be an upgrade) or have two coins that you like and got for a reasonable premium over melt...so while not the exact example, would you lean towards a nice gold dollar at $650 or two $2.5 at the same price. The collector in me wants to lean to the type coin, but I struggle with paying significant prices over melt. In this case I opted for dates that I didn’t have. Thoughts appreciated.

Reach another collecting goal a couple weeks ago .....200-10oz W series Engelhard silver bars.
Lowest documented serial #W000025, Highest documented serial #W017968.

There was an obvious mould size change somewhere between W000025 & W000082
I would love to find the two consecutive bars where that mould change took place.

    :o
