I do not know how many years/boxes those finds represent.... I am certain though, that you have had much better luck than I have had searching rolls of halves. One WLH in the last two years....Cheers, RickO

I can’t recall my self. It was a lot. There was a period where I was searching 4 boxes each time about every 2 weeks! My best one was 3 boxes where I had 50 silver. All 90% and that’s where the majority of the 1964, Franklin, and walkers came from.

@asheland Nice! You could probably get some money for that on eBay.

Nice pickup for $2...I would have done the same. I always picked up cheap (real) gold rings when I saw them at yard sales...make good casual gifts for kids - real gold and they appreciate it. Cheers, RickO

Nice Coin Roll Hunting! I haven't done it in years, But my best box was 9 silvers. I then went on to get skunked on about $6000 worth...

It's all about what the people want...

This just came in! A nice score on eBay. Paid basically $1545 an ounce shipped not including the 14k bezel. 1895 gold sovereign (.2354OZT. AGW.) minted in Melbourne Mint, Australia with the M mint mark above the date. Still having trouble removing the bezel as the screw seems to be fried. Overall nice coin with Victoria on it.

    Update:
I just broke it out of the bezel. Easier than I thought :p

Thanks! Was really happy when I got it.

They go well with my set of commonwealth sovereigns for cheap! (Way Below melt) now just need to find a Victoria young head and jubilee head.
My average price for all three is $1,323.75/oz. With the cheapest being the George V at $1161.06/oz. Plus 2.28g. Of pure gold in bezels removed from the Victoria and George V sovereigns. ;):p:)

I have no days off.... I’m 15 waiting for school to start again! But these are scarce to find you just get lucky. The George V sovereign was bought over a year ago.

    NEWP >:)
    $300 B)

What are your opinions of the file mark on the back? It’s old, but someone did indeed file to check it at some point in the past. It’s still slightly over 10 Troy ozs, so no harm to the weight, but would it bother you as a collector?

    Just curious...

Neat bar. Don’t know about the file mark though. I wonder how much extra silver there was including the part missing.
    This arrived yesterday.

I would vote the second one listed. Small logo with wide spacing on the 9s. Would need to put side by side with another one to confirm. Can you provide dims on the bar?

:p I actually thought the same thing the moment I saw it, but, that’s actually not from acid, that occurred when it was being poured, probably slag from the crucible...

This one is completely original and I love it! 👍

If it were mine, I'd dip it to see if I could get rid of that stain. Very neat bar in any event. B)
