Spectacular! If I’m not mistaken, those Colonial bars were made by Engelhard.

From what I've learned, this colonial bar was not made by engelhard.
Engelhard did produce a bar for Colonial Refining as seen here, of which only 2 have been documented. I'm sure more were most likely made, but have yet to surface......yet!!

That makes sense cmanbb. The font on your bar resembles the Engelhard logo more so than the version Asheland shared.
@Downtown1974
I do not own this bar. I remember when they surfaced a couple years ago, and who the buyers were at that time. I think they're still in those same collectors hands.
@Downtown1974 said: @cmanbb is it the p series that is so rare? I could swear I’ve seen that style bar with that logo posted on a metal porn thread in the past.
No...P series bars are the most common engelhards. There are a few rarer bars that start with a P prefix like this.....
I bought these on Friday and received them today. They came from the same seller.
3 nice English sterling silver pieces. A salt cellar and 2 shakers. Combined weight of 247.5g
And a large 800 silver tray that was made in Germany. Weighs 406.7g
I paid $110 for all of it. A great deal on eBay!

I got these on eBay recently. It may not seem like a score, but they are scarce and I got the pair for $100 shipped:
Arthur Stone shop, Gardner, MA
c.1925-30 by Charles Brown spoonmaker and chased & pierced likely by Arthur Stone himself:
I’ve seen single pieces fetch far north of $100 and the food pusher is seldom seen...

Holy. Crap.

AllEngelhard estimates the entire mintage of W series bars at <18,000.
It looks like @cmanbb has something like 1% of that entire mintage.

A pair of illusive bars from Anaheim CA. location.
This second pic is comparing the earliest know 2- digit serial # to a later 2 digit serial # using a larger mould.
Exactly. There were spoons, forks, food pushers, knifes, even cups and plates.

@Kliao ....Really nice score on that silver... I would love to find a salt cellar like that. Cheers, RickO
I like those!

Thanks @asheland. Very difficult to find these 2 digit bars, and a bit pricey, but hey....ya can't take it with you...lol
