In the 70's I was into golden age comic books, the "Yellowkid" is generally accepted as being the first comic strip. In '99 or so when I needed an ebay name that was taken so I used the plural, here it was available.
It is a nickname that has now been used to describe me in three different stages of my life. I didn't choose it this time either. I joined CU as "granddad" but for some reason I was no longer able to sign on due to incorrect password. I clicked on "forgot password" and my screen name as well as my password was changed. I chose not to question karma, so once again I am referred to as "themaster".

Its a childhood thing that stuck. My brothers always called me the chief. Thus, when we played cowboys and indians I was Chief Steviewah! My real name is Steve.
I like golf and the normal par is 72. My goal was always to shoot par. Got within one stroke once and two strokes several times. May be getting too old now.
Used to exchange emails with another Buffalo nickel collector about out latest cherrypicks and acquisitions. It's how he used to sign off, so I started doing it too. When I joined here, I adopted it.

I'm Scottish ... and own several formal and casual kilts that I wear quite frequently. Thus my handle.

OnWithTheHunt...? Wasn't that straight out of Rocky and Bullwinkle, as well? Not that their cartoons apply to any of us around here... >>
Used to be a big fan, but don't recall that line. If I was going to take my handle from a Rocky and Bullwinbkle character, Capt. Peter "Wrongway" Peachfuzz might do.

Nickname given by a co-worker back in 93 that I have used as a screenname for years. Added the zipcode when I signed up for ebay and use the same name on VAMWorld and here since I buy and sell coins on ebay and wanted to be identifiable.
Graduated from high school in Pipestone, MN in 1973. Pete is a nickname as my last name is Peters. The avatar is my dad's senior class photo. I also collect currency and am always on the lookout for national currency notes from Pipestone MN. Here are a couple examples for you non-currency collectors. (Do you know if your hometown banks issued notes?)
When ebay first started letting you use nicknames, I thought long and hard, maybe 5 minutes..... and came up with Coindude, cuz I like coins and I'm a dude.
When I came to register here, the username coindude had already been taken by someone who doesn't even post here. And, well after the fact that I chose coindude on ebay.
So, when registering here I came up with coindude on ebay but with no spaces cuz it's easier to spell that way and I know what it means and sometimes people ask why it's coindude one bay and it makes me laugh!

Only the parts that make me feel good about myself or don't scare me too much. I don't want to know that about myself. Do you?
The scariest thing is realizing how malleable, imprecise and incomplete is our conception of what the truth might be.
