Just read a comment on another forum that as of March 31st,2018 BGS is currently working on non-guaranteed orders submitted in early August 2017 and still have haven't graded some from as far back as June & July 2017.
Correct. I submitted one in June 2017. It arrived last week.
Wow,congrats lol! I hope they made it worth the wait for you.
Most were worth the wait. Like most subs, there is disappointment too.
I tried a small 20 card sub to BGS. Received 12/13/17. I emailed this weekend to check on status. Here is the response.
_Thank you for contacting Beckett.
This e-mail is in regards to your query for grading order status. We apologize for any inconvenience that has been caused to you.
I apologize for the delay. Your order is still in line to be graded. Your cards are absolutely safe with us. Non-guaranteed service is currently trending at 8+ months and does not carry a deadline date or a firm turnaround time. We are trying everything in our power to get to all orders as quickly and completed as accurately as possible. We will notify you once the cards are graded.
You can see it online once order completion date gets assign to it.
If you want you can get your order upgraded to 10 day you need to pay $200 more._
In addition to the delay, you can't see anything online until the cards are actually graded. Whereas with PSA, at least you see your order has been received and pending.
Thanks,

So basically they're saying that they're so busy they haven't had a chance to grade your cards yet even though they charged your credit card five months ago but we'll let you pay another $10/card then they'll miraculously find the time to grade those same aforementioned cards.

Here's a summary of my submission status so far. All subs were dropped off at the SF show on April 22.
Express - One card - Logged 4/25. Grade pending
CC Renewal - Six cards - Logged 4/25. Grades pending
Bulk sub - 500 cards - Logged 5/2
Bulk sub - 500 cards - Logged 5/2
Bulk sub - 500 cards - Logged 5/2
Bulk sub - 500 cards - Logged 5/2
Bulk sub - 499 cards - Logged 5/2
I have another sub of 314 cards submitted at the same time that hasn't logged yet.
So far my express, CC Renewal and 499 card bulk subs have all posted grades. Not bad so far!
Out of curiosity was the 499 card order all the same set or anything that made it easier on them? Anything different about that one vs the other 500 ct ones, or are they likely to pop one after the other now based on previous experience?

No, I mix them up so one grader doesn't see all the same set. It spreads the risk of getting the grader of death for one source of cards. The main thing that was different on the 499 cards is I had called PSA to inquire about the missing card since my count was 500. There ended up being a duplicate entry in the form which resolved the issue. Since it was pulled aside, maybe that pushed it through the grading room more quickly than the others. Or maybe it's just a coincidence.

Anyone have recent experience with a CC voucher submission? Per the voucher link on my profile page, "...keep in mind that your voucher entitles your cards to an approximate seven-business-day turnaround (standard trading card grading)...". Mine was logged 5/10 and I'm still waiting - I thought that the SLAs were being met or even beaten once things were logged but mine's at almost double the 7 day SLA. Time to call and ask for an update, or are the CC vouchers usually closer to a normal 20 day SLA?

How long did you have to wait in line? I waited from about 5-6:20 with paperwork ready....all done on line and printed out. Finally gave up and walked away cursing out loud. They told me I had to wait as they didn't have anyone to just accept them.

About 20 minutes. I got there shortly before the doors opened on the Friday. Was about 4 people deep by the time I got to their booth. I had done the same, went through the online submission process, printed out the forms and brought them with me. It speeds it up a bunch if everyone did the same. Too many are filling out the forms blocking the rest of the customers.
They had 2 people working the front with a floater guy of some sort, not sure what he was doing...maybe big volume customers, not sure. They had a film crew there from CNBC doing a piece about John Rogers (sports memorabilia fakes, got 12 years in prison.....looked it up when I got home) to be aired late September/early November on a segment "American Greed". I sat up there at the table a good while waiting for them to finish that as they were using one of the PSA customer service reps.
It was a slow go, no reason for that type of wait.

So you were the guy holding everyone up?? Lol. The cameras were still there at the table when I got in line so you must have been there a while. I know most of the people were in line to do PSA/DNA on site submissions, but c'mon, please have someone that can take the 5-10 minutes it should take just to accept items that are ready to go. After wasting nearly an hour and a half in line, I had to bring my cards back home and spend about $50 to ship them out there.
@PROMETHIUS88 said:

you are not shipping them right then!!
Oh, I shipped them out yesterday and they should be there tomorrow. While I'm not happy with the at show service, I wouldn't submit them anywhere else. The over the phone customer service has been excellent and even Joe is very quick to respond when I send him an e-mail. PSA is like a wife.....while you don't always like every single thing she does, you still love her for who she is and in most cases, wouldn't trade her for anyone else, lol.
Are things improving? What does average turn around time seem? I have a bulk order 1000+ I am holding onto. Curious, am I better off sending before the Nat'l?
I have to much S**t; so if you working on sets or are a player/team collector, send me your want list, with conditions desired. Keep in mind I have a another job so please allow me a few days to respond.

I guess that's not actually far from the truth but not for the reason most were holding things up, They were using one of the CSR's for the video shoot and she went missing for like 10-15 minutes while I waited for her to come back. There was a guy next to me that had to fill out all his paperwork, I probably waited 10-15 minutes while at the table before I even had a CSR talk to me, then the video shoot, then my submissions which included autographs, cards for grading and ticket authentication services. My stuff went fairly quick....once we got to it. since I had most of the paperwork complete. It DEFINITELY helps to speed things up by coming with the paperwork completed so although you couldn't get to the table to take advantage of that, still the right way to do it.
They should do a staging approach, first is paperwork. Have a CSR rep (or two) to help people to review and help answer questions in regards to the paperwork, if it's not been given the green light, you don't advance on to the next stage. Once you've been given the green light and your paperwork looks good, you go to the next stage for final payment and processing. Have a space for like 10 people filling our paperwork etc, and have the last stage have 2 CSR's working it. If you have your paperwork completed in advance, you should be able to move through the paperwork staging area very quickly while others that may have been ahead of you still complete their paperwork.
I think this rewards people that have done the paperwork in advance by allowing them to get a quick validation of their paperwork and move on, while others still needing to complete the paperwork properly, to get the help they need without clogging up the process for everyone behind them.
The video production effort did NOT help the situation any either! Bottlenecked everything from the start.

no, i mean you paid too much. $50 to ship???
Oh, yeah, got you. it was $47 ish with the insurance. I know other people have gotten the collectibles insurance which covers ins shipping your cards but I haven't pulled that trigger yet. I'm still feeding the beast with inflated USPS shipping/ins fees. If it were my own cards I would have insured it for less but I had some in there for another board member so I wanted to be cautious.

What did you bring in for PSA/DNA?
I only brought cards to be graded. A 5 card regular sub, a 7 card regular sub and a 101 card bulk sub.
no, i mean you paid too much.
4 card "regular" sub received on 5/29 popped today on business day 14. Still waiting on a 110 card bulk submission logged on 4/6 currently on business day 48...I think.
A 100+ bulk sub and 2 regular 20 days subs logged tonight that were just received on Wednesday. Looks like the login time has gotten caught up!
50 card bulk was received on 3-6-18. The cards logged 3-31-18 and popped 6-18-18.

Looks like PSA lowered the estimated turnaround time on the Regular 10/day service from 30 days to 20 days. Thats a good sign that they're catching up recently.
