I bought that to check it out. It's not same size, those 51 mm tokens won't fit
Lighthouse frame Overall Size: 9 x 3 1/2 x 3/4"
Amazon frame Overall Size 9 x 2.7 x 0.75 Inches
I did put the wooden Nickels in the Amazon frame
Thanks Twobitcolleector. I ordered 1 set from AMZ to check it out and it's on the way. I can see how that extra width makes a difference.
In a question answer about this product it was noted that the membrane is a little tacky. Are you worried, even a little, about it coming in contact with the coins surface?

Just curious, Is there any info on 2018 owls. I have bought some the last few years, and want to budget for some this year.
I would be interested in this years design as well. @dcarr does some incredible work!
Thanks.
I have a sculpt finished for the large octagon 2018 "owl" obverse. I can use the same reverse die as 2017. But I haven't engraved the 2018 obverse yet. Actually, I haven't done any 2018 Clark Gruber engravings yet. Maybe next week.

One more question.....regarding the silver "1933" Saint-Gaudens Silver "NOT LEGAL TENDER"
I see that they satin finish, are any of them coming proof like ?
I just received mine today and they look different from each other.
I thought perhaps it was the lighting but when I compare them in hand its an obvious difference.
I also purchased a brass one too

Oh dear, right as I'm trying to cut back purchases and save a little money, lol. Looks like the one I have been waiting for finally came out... an actual overstrike! I went ahead and pulled the trigger! I also picked up a couple of the feeders, those look neat.

Awesome and out of stock already!
I hope Dan does a "TWENTY DOLLARS" winged liberty!
Also noticed the nice looking large and half cents too, and that the 1933 Gold DE is no longer available.
I'll hold off on the Libertas then @dcarr said:
They will be back in stock soon - I just need to get some more Saint-Gaudens double eagles to strike over.
Dan
Since these are re-strikes over actual coinage there must be a cleaning process to make them look mint fresh. How do you do it?
I clean off the tarnish and any corrosion before over-striking. It is a proprietary process, so I am not disclosing all the details.
Other than the removal of tarnish and corrosion, no metal is removed from, or added to, the coins. All are over-struck at least 3 times. Some as many as 12 times.
I want the 2018 Owl...but I shouldn't...not until I put some more $$$ into my slush fund. If you dropped a bucket into my slush fund well...it would not make much of a splash.

@Bullsitter Thas a lot of stuff to have in one pocket, a belt would be a mandatory accessory. Ha,

Cargo pocket I assume. May I ask why your toting them around?
I bet they're quite heavy altogether. Did you ever "loose" your pants carrying them?
Bruce, I do need a belt.
Grip got the cargo pants correct.
Paradise, never lost them but came close.
I carry 4 in each pocket M-F during work. I do lots of walking and got the idea from another forum member.
Now that Dan has done a Gold "Double Eagle", will 2018 be the year for a Silver 3 oz. "Double Owl" ???

I would have loved getting those new over strikes but my budget would bust wide open. The Owl will have to satisfy the Carr monkey on my back. Sigh
