imo, if your cc was pinged then you will get the coin. If it was the other way around I would say you wouldnt get it. Good luck, hope you get it!

Question: How do I know these coins have now reached their maxed out retail value?

Answer: OperationButter's coins are unsold at his $1,750 asking price on the BST Board.

One thing is for sure - the value is much higher than the $1200.00 issue price image

At approx $400 over spot that's a very quick $1.6M for the Mint less cost. Of course, they may have paid for the Plat when it was higher. I sure hope that this does not encourage the Mint to go to HUGE premiums over spot like RCM and Perth.

    Not sure I understand.

I thought you were asking what the issue price was. I must have misunderstood.

Here's the eBay Listings so far.

What do you think a PCGS graded PR70DCAMFS will be bringing?

Is it worth waiting to send these coins in to PCGS to be graded, or strike now and flip 'em raw?

You posted this on both Plat threads?! Lol! That had been up less than an hour before the "bash".

Its like me saying, Mitch you have had the 5 sealed Johnson sets I sold to you for roughly 30 hours, but I still havent received my check. Where is it? A bit ridiculous, right?

Regardless, I personally think these will be going for much more than 1750, especially if I hit the grading lottery and make 70s on the 5 I have.

13 different listings for buy/sell for the 2015-W Proof Plats on BST, on the same day they are released. 8 minute sellout with a HH limit of one coin. Certainly not a dead issue. It will be interesting to see what happens now.

Odd, the mint took "Currently Unavailable" off this issue in the catalog, but only has a remind me button.

Spot checking, they did the same with the JFK and LBJ C&Ch sets. The FDR, Truman and Ike still have the Unavailable flag...

Only if you pay for it. You might be able to get that done on MyUPS.

I have no tracking number yet.

Has anyone noticed Platinum jumped $30 today? I'm feeling much better about yesterday's purchase. image

Edit to add: Gold jumped $25, silver 50 cents. Was this the result of the anticipated interest rate increase?

Gold went up today, as did silver. Not that this has anything to do with the price of tea in China image

    $1750

Anyone else get $550 over $1200 on the bst flip? Just wondering. I did not buy this coin. I missed this flip. Congrats to the flippers.

    From Mint News Blog:

Following up on yesterday’s releases, Michael White of the U.S. Mint has confirmed that the 4,000-unit inventory of the 2015 American Eagle One Ounce Platinum Proof Coin has been sold. The 2015 Saratoga National Historical Park 5 oz. Uncirculated Coin also had a strong debut yesterday; according to the Mint, that issue sold 15,904 pieces on its first day of availability. As the Saratoga 5 oz. Uncirculated coin’s mintage limit now stands at 20,000, less than 4,096 pieces of the issue remain available for purchase.

Completed Prices seem to be trending up on eBay. Impressive but me thinks they are going higher in coming weeks with a limited mintage and supply. eBay completed sales Any other guesstimates?

I noticed most of the offerings on the BST are gone and sold.
That leads me to believe that $50 over the cost of the coin from the Mint was a poor offer.

I hope a few if you didn't bite on that one.

Was going to order this for my 4th grandson. Then , about the time to call in the order, someone came in the shop and needed to sell their silver dollars to buy food for her children. It was one of them days. In the aftermath, I'm just a poor boy , and it's a dream coin for another day. C'est la vie in the big city ! Who's got the complete collection of this or First Spouse coins in OGPs, is truly one of my modern day numismatic heroes.
