"We are very pleased that so many of our customers are interested in the set, because of the scarcity we created in this D Mint Native American $1 Coin at the "eleventh hour" after selling hundred of thousands, if not millions, of common D Mint Native American $1 coins (in mint sets, rolls and bags) all year long to these very same customers who had no clue that we would be creating this truly scarce D mint Native American $1 coin in November/December of the calendar year."
As always, just my two cents.

Ditto here....I padded my order just over $300 so I would get the 2 day shipping...I can imagine how slow "smart"post will be with all the other stuff being delivered
I have a pending transaction showing on my credit card for my 12/4 order... not sure if this means that I'll be getting the coins or if the new Mint system does that automatically to make sure they payment will be good if they get the product in.

Thats kind of odd. My 12/4 order was actually shipped the very next day.
It was weird because the date that the site stated was an availability of 12/8

Very interesting. If rodzm's order was made the day after yours and his has already shipped, it would appear the Mint is back doing things the old way.

<< <i>Is PCGS certifying/grading these as Specimen Finish (SP)?

unknown at this time. the EU Kennedy came out of PCGS as MS not SP.
there already are MS 2014-D NA$1, so maybe they go SP on the label for distinction.
Who Knows.

This.
The capsule is like a modified air-tite. the lid part is sticking up off the cardboard. look for the seam to pry open.

<< <i>MCM still has the $99 NGC MS 69s for sale as reported on this thread. So not a complete rush to get these it seems. No reported 70's yet. >>
They're NGC 69's. If they were PCGS 69's that would be a serious bargain. The market knows the difference.

I'll be buying a nice circulated Buffalo nickel over any of those 2 choices.

I placed two orders 12/3. One at 12:30pm, one at 1:20pm.
The 12:30pm order (10 sets) shipped 12/4. The 1:20pm order is still on backorder.
My 12:30 order should be here Thursday, at which time I'll decide if I'm going to get any authenticated...
