Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

First, this cool PSA 10, a thoughtful gift from my sons. It's only my 2nd PSA 10 in my Yaz collection and it's older (and cooler) than the other one. Also glad it's in the right disc-shaped holder.
And I spent some birthday cash on this addition, which puts me at 50% on his basic Topps run:
Edited to add: with these 2 cards, I cracked the top 20 in the Yaz master set standings for the first time!

<< <i>I'm wondering how that facsimile sig on the 1977 card compares to the recent sigs you obtained in person....? >>
Funny you should ask, because I was comparing it myself. It looks pretty close, only difference I see is that the Y isn't forked in the facsimile for some reason.
Speaking of that in-person auto, that's part of the red flip group sub that should log this week. And speaking of group subs, I popped a 1964 Topps PSA 7 in Casey's sub that I should have in hand in a few days. Stay tuned.
Thanks fellas, here is another addition to my Yaz registry sets. This raw card was given to me as a gift in January from mojorob (Kirk), who also included a nice note. He had cracked out a PSA 7, and then decided he'd like me to have it. Very generous! I sent it in on Casey's group sub and happy it still came back as a 7. Here it is:
Still waiting on 5 Yaz items to pop (hopefully this coming week).
Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
I posted this poppage in another thread, promised scans when I got them in hand. I'm very happy with the grades, but I have to admit I still don't know what the graders are looking for with these, LOL. I have posted the pop numbers under some of these.
Pink = pop 4, 1 higher
Green = pop 1, 2 higher
Salmon = pop 2, none higher. I have no idea why the color of this scan is so bad. All the scans of the other matchbooks came out good. Anyway, this really is salmon colored, lol.
Aqua = pop 2, none higher
There are still 5 colors I want to eventually add to my master set.
Also added this gem earlier this week. It's my first 10 in my Yaz basic Topps run. Not exactly low pop, haha, but I've always liked this set and happy to have this card. Now I have both the Topps and OPC versions of it in my registry.
Great stuff, Dan! Always nice to see you add items to the collection. I know the Yaz Master set is huge, but slow and steady wins the race. It's been fun to see all the progress you've made over the past year, which is really a lot even over such a short timeframe. Imagine where you'll be in a couple of years!
I love the matchbooks Dan. I've never seen those before. Was that a series of players they did or a regional thing for the Red Sox? Awesome pick up on the '83 gemmy as well.

It was a multisport set that included these players, among others: Larry Bird, Al Kaline, Duke Snider, Guy Lafleur, Gordie Howe, Bobby Orr, Ray Bourque, Lou Brock, Pete Rose, Hank Aaron and Willie Mays. Each player came in 10 colors. The ones I'm missing for Yaz include blue, tan and yellow. Can't remember the last couple.
This is the latest addition to my Yaz master set, now 52 pieces strong and just the thinnest of margins out of 15th place. Bought this from CU member wilkiebaby11, with whom I've made numerous A+ transactions. Thanks again Steve!
1968 Topps is a big set for Yaz collectors. Since he won the Triple Crown the year before, he's featured prominently in the set. There are 7 Yaz cards in the '68 base set and one of them has 2 variations, making 8 total cards. After this purchase, I now have PSA graded copies of 5 of the 8.
Great variety in this thread, Dan~congrats on some very cool pickups!

Terrific LL card, Dan!! I love Yaz's happy-go-lucky look in the picture. Thanks for updating. Also, I somehow missed the 81 Donruss pane, which is truly unique.
The one I'm most excited about is the 75 mini. It's such an iconic set and felt like a gaping hole in my collection. Plus my 11 year old had a graded copy and I didn't! I've been looking for a sharp 8 and think this one fits the bill. While it is centered low, it's not as drastic as it appears in the scan. The bottom edge is just under the "bumper." Is this what you 75 mini guys mean when you say a card "fills the holder"? How did I do?
Edited to add: I'm up to 56 graded items in my Yaz master set, all added in the past year and 5 months. I'm way ahead of where I thought I would be. Also currently 15th all time in those standings.
Yes, the Yaz mini fills the holder quite nicely~well done!

Tim: thanks, that means a lot. I wanted an 8 with sharp corners that was the right size. I looked at many before I settled on that one
John: I too like the rough cut. I actually like them rougher, but this one is a really nice 8 overall. The 80 and 83 OPC in my registry have rougher cuts that are pretty cool. The 77 is my oldest graded OPC I have, but I'm hoping to add some earlier ones soon, specifically a 71 or something from the late 60s.
Great additions Dan. All four of those cards look sharp. I like the 75 in the new holder. Always great to see you make progress on your project. Of course it would be great to have the deep pockets to go out and buy any and every card you want, but the journey of slowly adding cards makes the project more enjoyable IMO. At least that's how I felt working on my 61 BK set and feel working on my 86 BK sets. Keep up the good work!

+1, one of the few where he looks like he's having a good time instead of the normal gruff/focused/bewildered shots on most of his other cards.

I always like the 66T Yaz - is that a great smiling pose or what?!
Very nice pickup - I don't have the card - wish I did. Those are cards I wish I had picked up in the late 80s.

Your 77T addition is pure perfection. And a 10 Cola? Sweet!
Happy Birthday also.

A very nice card and very generous of Kirk - he's a good guy - a favorite of mine - congratulations.
Bought this from CU member bkritz. Second time I've bought a Yaz from him for my registry. Thanks Brian!

Superb 83T! It looks like he's giving infield practice? Don't think I ever thought about the card tho I have it ungraded.
As a "player" collector, your Yaz collection is incredible.
I've never attempted anything - tho some day I might be tempted - mine would be the Duke.
The 1983 Topps is choice. The pose is really cool.
