I think you can but you have to submit those coins separate from the other 3 (those not eligible for FS) so it is a sacrifice of those 3 25th labels
I persevered and was able to order 5 single set orders. Yes I thought I was taking a risk, but I did not want a 5 box. My brother ordered a 2 box and 3 single orders. It was possible just a huge pain in the arse. Hopefully it will be worth the extra time and effort.

I don't understand. Submit a sealed box of five, get the 25th anniv. label on all five and add FS to the two eligible coins. No?

Someone in one of these threads checked with PCGS, and I'm pretty sure he said you can't have both labels on the two rare ones.
I thought the post said you couldn't submit a sealed box and request both labels on just those 2 coins with the other 3 getting the 25th label....the only way was to open the box and submit just those two coins...
I may have interpreted it incorrectly but it does kinda make sense....
I hadn't seen this before, and so am posting here for everyone's benefit... found it on Mint News Blog - some already know these meanings, but here goes:
The Mint uses the word "backorder" in a different way most people are familiar with. Most companies are sellers, not manufacturers, so when an item is on "backorder", that means they've run out of the item, and need to order more from the manufacturer. That may takes days, weeks or even months...
The Mint is both manufacturer and seller, so when they say "backorder", they mean that the order is backed up until the coins are minted, assembled, and then shipped to the fulfillment center for mailing.
The Mint uses "Hold" to mean that they need time to veriufy that the order is legitimate (in this case, not more than 5 sets per household) and that the customer's credit card has sufficient funds [and an updated expiration date].
"In Process" means that verification has been done, and now all it takes is for the Mint to see if there are enough sets ready for mailing.
"In stock and reserved" means that the coins have been assembled into sets and are ready to be shipped to the fulfillment center, and that all verifications have been made. At this point, the Mint has ACCEPTED the order - prior to this, the Mint has only RECEIVED the order. Once the set is labeled for mailing, then you will receive a "Shipped" notice and tracking number (though the actual mailing date may be the next day).
To sum up, once you see "In Process" and/or In Stock and Reserved", you can safely assume that you will get your coins. "Hold" and "Backorder" does not mean that you will not get your coins.

That would not make any sense .. from what I understand, as of right now, but it may change, only 2 of the coins will be eligible for the FS label in addition to the 25th anniv. set label, if submitted in the sealed mint package prior to the 30 days window, which is also applicable if you want to receive the 25th anniv. label for the 3 coins that are already in existence.

OT a bit but I was checking prices realized on ebay for the 20th anniversary sets and they seem to be averaging $350- $375 for raw sets. I'll bet long term these 25th anniversary sets will bring 3x their issue price or more as well.

Nope, not fair to say that. Didn't complain about anything. I emailed them and asked what their regulations on the "presale" was. Because people were saying ebay wasn't allowing them, and others saying they were if you could guarantee you would ship within 30 days, among other things (which others who got their auctions ended have posted), this was part of their response.

So does this list mean all get 25th ann but only one gets FS if sent into grade (sealed box)? Also, just wondering, if we send in set/sets to grade ASAP, as in day received and Express, ANY chance of getting ours back before all the big retail sellers? OR do they get priority grading? Got it! No, do not see that on PCGS either (UNC W). I may call them when the sets get closer to delivery and ask my questions. Just too confusing to follow at this point. Thanks for the post.

I've reported coin scam auctions to eBay and have them do nothing, not even write back telling me the auction is OK. Other times they act immediately and email me thanking me etc and so forth. If eBay was serious about stopping pre-sales of the ATB set, all they have to do is a search and nuke all the 25th Ann. sets listed, since, as far as I know, nobody is in actual possession of any sets yet. eBay's main concern is getting their fees and on more than one occasion have been known to look the other way at shady auctions. Just look at all the counterfeit US coins being offered from China, nothing is being done. In Canada, the RCMP put the heat on eBay and all but eliminated the sales of counterfeit Canadian coins.

I believe they will since you have to send in a sealed box. Don't know if that is automatic though or if you have to specifically ask for it on the form.
Yes they will send you back OGP all you need to do is put it on the order form with the fee forgot how much that is now.But you can call and ask just keep the box sealed and you will be o.k.

<< <i>I got an email directly from ebay outlining how to report pre-sales on ebay for the sets and asking me to do so... >>
Funny. I can't count the number of times I have reported items and they do nothing. how they are asking for help? They can go take a fking fly leap of a cliff as far as I am concerned. >>
I agree >>

Would it be true to say this is an email reply to you after one of your auctions was nuked and you complained about others being listed ? >>
Nope, not fair to say that. Didn't complain about anything.
I emailed them and asked what their regulations on the "presale" was. Because people were saying ebay wasn't allowing them, and others saying they were if you could guarantee you would ship within 30 days, among other things (which others who got their auctions ended have posted), this was part of their response. >>
Thanks , its this part that is "confusing" , no worries.
" I understand that you see other sellers listing
the same items."
<< <i>Not sure if it has been asked already but would PCGS send back the original packaging once your coins get graded? I remember when i sent my sealed UHR to get graded PVGS actually sent the original packaging back to me >>
Hopefully PCGS will post ASE set submission guidelines on their website. Other grading services are doing so.

I believe they will since you have to send in a sealed box. Don't know if that is automatic though or if you have to specifically ask for it on the form.
Box of 20
Let me see if I got this right.
Feebay says 25th Anniversary set sale are not allowed.
Hundreds of listings are present on feebay.
I'm calling FUBAR.

Just think, I had no problem phone ordering a 1995 10th Anniv set on Dec 31, 1995 at $999 per set. And they only could unload 31k of those all year!!!
<< <i>"5 units back ordered. Expected to ship on 11/14/2011."
Order number:3841XXXX
If there is a chance greater than 0% that my order will be fulfilled I would be surprised.
Anyone have a higher order # than me? >>
I must be close to the end of the line my order # 38381xxx of 3 sets one of my set s was pulled so now it says 2 sets. I looked at my Email comfermation and it says 3 so they pulled one from me.... But if it gives one to some one that did not get one thats cool.

To sum up, once you see "In Process" and/or In Stock and Reserved", you can safely assume that you will get your coins. "Hold" and "Backorder" does not mean that you will not get your coins. >>
So, anyone see "In Process" yet?

My friend's order begins with 38379xxx placed at 6:28pm EST time which I believe is after the cut off time.
<< <i>.....Is PCGS going to release an official statement as to how these will be handled so there's no need for speculation? These should all just say First Strike 25th Anniversary because of the fact they all sold within five hours and were only sold in sets. Seems simple enough to me. I just want PCGS to clarify. >>
It is not based on when sold but when shipped. If they drag the shipping out then some may not qualify. PCGS doesn't need to make a statement since they define the policy already.
