Has anyone managed to check out a set of these? I can't, with my years-old Apmex account (which was on the ATB waiting list since last year), or with a new account I just created.

We are sorry, your Customer ID was not selected to be eligible to purchase one of these items. (#59810) 2010 5 oz Silver ATB 5-Coin Set PCGS BU or Better (May 13th) These items have been removed from your cart.
I'm not eligible. I got one of the early sets and traded it for 1.75 oz. gold.

Well PUC me running Thought is was finished at 10 sets. I had to buy AMPEX after swearing they had dumped to the TV sellers. I had to pay taxes also since living in good old OKLAHOMA . Still a very fair deal after all this time just hope they didn't keep the 69`s. Now is everybody who said they would never going to buy from apex standing strong??
Well they have 3028 sets to sell Lol And you can buy as many as you want, so i think they still have some tweaking to do to the website.........one more set lol OK THERE down to 3016 so they are selling sets to those chosen few................
I had no problem ordering a set whats up ? At the bottom of my invoice it states friendship has its perks, I had registered to be notified when available, Don't know why you don't qualify unless they had a large number of pre registers or a small number for sale.
My order was accepted. Price for the pucks was $959.95 by personal check or $988.75 for credit card + $19.95 for s/h. It looks like $19.95 s/h regardless of personal check or credit card.
I was on the alert me list since December for the 5 coin set and since October for the individual pucks. My alert me notice for the 5 coin set has disappeared, but the individual coin alert me notices are still active.
As long as they get rid of what they have the mint is not going to care. They can say they had grading fees and they had costs in shipping to the grading company and and and--
Just chatted with Apmex regarding the "you're not selected to buy" and was told:
"Apmex identified selected individuals to receive the offer from all those who had registered with the company and indicated interest. The process of selection was designed to spread the opportunity among many different types of those registered.
If you are selected then you would receive an email."

I just bot a set. I did get the e-mail but I never asked to be notified. Hmmmm?
Also I don't see them listed in their online catalog. Only the boxes. I am pretty sure if you already purchased a set back when then that's all she wrote.
Well I didn't get an email from them either but the ordering process allowed me to go right up to the end but I deleted it. I can't be bought off that easily.

They shut me and my wife's account out because we didn't get the email that we were eligible to order them. Total BS. Oh well, I'm over it, sorta....Puck madness strikes again.
The wait is over! You asked to be alerted when America The Beautiful 5 Ounce Silver Coin Set became available. This is your only notice and you must take action quickly. We had over 18,000 requests for these coins and you were selected to receive one of 3,500 emails with the opportunity to purchase only one of only 3,100 available sets. You must act now because this offer is first come, first served and you don't want this opportunity to pass you by.
You have until midnight (CST) Friday, April 15th, 2011, to go to the APMEX website and purchase your own set. These coins will sell out quickly so ACT NOW because there might not be any left by Friday. According to the U.S. Mint special provisions for these coins, only one set may be purchased per U.S. household.
We are offering these coins to you at unprecedented pricing below melt value with valued-added authentication, grading and encapsulation* by PCGS. In addition, your set is packaged in a custom designed box with a foam insert with five slots specifically cut, one for each PCGS holder, to ensure safe delivery and convenient for long term storage. As you already know, only 33,000 sets have been minted of the first series of these immensely popular coins, making them one of the most coveted coin series ever released.
You certainly do not satisfy customers that way. I'm sure many people are finished with APMEX. I know I am, and I received a ATB set in December. I am not a big time buyer, but I have spent a lot of money in the past...... No More!
Is this a move that Apmex use to cover up what they did????
Suppose Apmex already sold, say 1,000 sets to some dealers under the table, and now they want to be eligible to distribute the 2011 pucks. What should they do?????
Can they just pretended they have sold all to the public and prepare a customer list for the Mint to audit? No, even if they can pass the US Mint audit, I think tens of us here will file complaints to the mint.
Now here is the clever move. No one knows how many emails did Apmex send out to the public. Maybe 3000? Or may it be just 1000? Who knows! But most importantly, now, Apmex can pacify the public and say that they offer all of the pucks to the public, and none of us can have solid evidence to complain against them.
Got blocked with all three accounts I have with APMEX (just testing...). Didn't get an email either.
Looks like if you got a set already, they stripped you of the alert and no ATB for you.

I think APMEX cherry picked through all their coins, had them all holdered, rigged it so specific people get the best sh*t, and then release whatever they had left to the "public" to make it look like they sold everything to the public. The guys in charge of APMEX must have been extremely pissed off that the mint screwed them over the first time so I've no doubt they tried to find a way to maximize their profits behind closed doors.
Just my theory. I mean if I was in charge of APMEX I probably would have done it. Would you? LOL.
I don't know...sitting on step 4 of 4 waiting to confirm order with Apmex. Didn't receive their e-mail but am registered with them and had an alert request. Just can't decide if I want to give them my business.

The email probably provided the special link.
Maybe if you are able to order, you'd get an email eventually.
Opps found them. Put ATB in their search inventory...

<< <i>No email for me either. Was on their alert me list since December 9th. To hell with APMEX. >>
You gotta shake your fist really hard at your monitor while looking at the apmex website and clench your teeth!
I personally am just waiting for the numismatic version. I've got too many bullion versions now.

Guess the Mint screwed them again with the 'certify' you've sold all your 2010 coins before you get the 2011 coins thing.
Looks like a conspiracy as a few AP's seemed to be doing it.
I wonder who thought it up. Probably lost ALL credibility, as $3 million was tied up for nothing.
At current silver prices you are getting these sets at spot
Looks like if you got a set already, they stripped you of the alert and no ATB for you.
Me too. I caved. Oh I need help! I'm such a puck whore!
