I have three sets and none of them are marked up like the obverse on this one. My guess and that's really what it is, 66. I'd really like to see more pictures like these so I can have a better idea of what mine would grade with their little marks on the clear reverse framing edges before I send them all in. I'd also assume this is proof-like. If the reverse alone was graded I'm guessing this would be a 69, or would the marks around the date be sufficient to cause it to grade lower? Thanks for posting.

great critic oldfolkie, this coin is 67DMPL. it has some contact marks on obverse with reverse very clean. i got 3 PL and 2 DMPL on this set.
Gawd these coins bring out the crazzies on Ebay. I got a frantic, raving lunatic, ebay user ID "resignplease" emailing me that I am fraudulent on my auctions because I block out the cert #'s and that he can't verify the coin. I used stock photos - How about a nice email asking it instead of accusing - 100% positive feedback by me with 1588 feedback, recent feedback on the pucks where do these loons come from Blocked -
There surely has been declining interest in these, however, I'd make the following assertions--
-Coins at AP prices are still wildly popular. They are essentially selling close to spot (not going to the math, but it's close). I can deduce this from 2 hrs of busy signals while trying to call CNT last Tuesday. I know many on these boards dealt with the same frustrations.
-Personally, I feel that there has been a crowd all along waiting for secondary prices to reach bottom before buying.
-Wide range of grades. Is it just me or is the range of grades given on these is surprisingly wide for a modern issue? I've seen anything from 62-69 with PL/DMPL. To me, this means that we may have a more limited number of coins in high grades than is normal for moderns.
-We now know with some certainty that the 2011 bullion issues will be minted in much higher mintages. Of course, some things in the future remain to be seen: namely silver spot prices, the Mint's ability to get planchets, etc.
-Timeline for shakeout. The Mint has essentially given us a timeline for sales in the shorterm. I can't see why APs would continue to hold onto the 2010 ATBs past late April, as the 2011 releases should mean higher profits for them (ability to sell in quantity, etc).

But since you ask how much (a) (1) PCGS FS PL69 graded coin set you back.. That would be from $500 to $2500 probably. The $4495 was for a set of PL69 coins
Yes, why not!!? As the cherry picking continues and the Sealed/ un-searched sets decrease, for a period of time, as in the past with other Mint issues,
the original, fresh sets will command a premium. Thanks for the link carew4me.

<< <i>We presently have 110 ATB auctions some of which are NGC but most are PCGS. Hi John-
Thanks so much for your note. Being that you are such a major force in Moderns, it's very kind of you to keep us so well informed. I'm sure that I speak for many on the forum in extending my thanks for this. I think that this is part of the reason that you and your firm have such a very well deserved stellar reputation.
In suggested a panel such as that which you describe to both the ATB Program Director and to a senior person in Public Affairs. It seemed to go in one ear and out the other. Even when offered help it is turned down.
I thought prices held up pretty good on ebay for as many that sold some of the latter ones brought more than the first, but this happens when 2 people wait thinking they will get cheaper.
My bids, for the most part, were blown to the wayside on just about all of the MCM auctions. A lot of last second bidding going on. At least I was able to get the one coin I really wanted, a Grand Canyon MS69PL but I had to pay above $600 and it was a fight to get one! Messed up a couple times rushing to raise my bids at the last second. DOH!
It will be interesting to see if this was the major bargain hunting opportunity I thought it was or not. I wouldn't expect to see that many coins of the same grade and type offered all at once any time again soon but who knows?

Yep. Could it be that the PCGS ATBs are purposefully getting dumped in a certain effort to support the prices of the much larger inventory of NGC ATBs?
"Mint to end sales restrictions on ATB bullion." Subscribers can read it online.
The APs simply have to "certify" that they fulfilled their agreements. No consequences. The APs can charge whatever prices they want on the new issues. No consequences.
The Mint will sell all 2010 uncirculated pucks via the Individual Option.

I saw 10 69dmpl coins go for $7100.00, I think it was a separate auction, that is about $3500 per set, so either someone overpaid for their sets or coins for that matter. Most DMPL individual coins where going for over 1k...
It is becoming clear to me that the mint will not or can't keep up with this and APMEX will be selling graded 2010 ATB's at some point in quantity. The truth will come out at some point I hope.
<< <i><< The 2010 pucks are still subject to the 2010 rules and restrictions. >> Good luck with that >>
Hey, I was just stating the facts. The OP's post wasn't clear about which year's pucks were affected. Whether or not the APs abide by the 2010 rules is a whole 'nuther ball of wax that has been hashed and rehashed on this thread ad nauseum...

Thanks so much for the great summary!
Of note, the PCGS MS69PL sets went for less than the lowest NGC 69 w/no PL set that I've seen to date. Interesting turn of events.
<< <i>Also, there are very few NGCs up. The total opposite of a few weeks ago. The PCGS DMPL must be just killing NGC. >>
Yep. Could it be that the PCGS ATBs are purposefully getting dumped in a certain effort to support the prices of the much larger inventory of NGC ATBs?
Interesting turn of events?
"Mint to end sales restrictions on ATB bullion." (You need a copy in order to read the entire story)
The APs simply have to "certify" that they fulfilled their agreements. No consequences. The APs can charge whatever prices they want on the new issues. No consequences.
The Mint will sell all 2010 uncirculated pucks via the Individual Option.
This program is really getting ugly.
I knew it would happen.
<< <i>Breaking news from C.W. "Mint to end sales restrictions on ATB bullion." (You need a copy in order to read the entire story) >>
That applies to 2011 pucks. The 2010 pucks are still subject to the 2010 rules and restrictions.

By the e/o April or beginning in May.

Good luck with that

I saw 10 69dmpl coins go for $7100.00, I think it was a separate auction, that is about $3500 per set, so either someone overpaid for their sets or coins for that matter. Most DMPL individual coins where going for over 1k...
EBAY 69DMPL Two Sets
That way these AP's can dump thier supply and it wouldn't benifit those AP's that haven't sold any.
Cause even the Mint relaxes the 1 Per HH after everyone has had the opportunity to get one and I think everyone has had the opportunity.

Hey, I was just stating the facts. The OP's post wasn't clear about which year's pucks were affected. Whether or not the APs abide by the 2010 rules is a whole 'nuther ball of wax that has been hashed and rehashed on this thread ad nauseum...
