Gotta give Ftrade accolades for their handling this ATB fiasco.
They've been selling since they started. No MTB "yes we are selling, now we aren't, call back next week, we might be selling in March, maybe" BS.

I understand the opinions on First Strike but I think you will take a hit on those non-FS 69's if you sell them. If it was me and I wanted to sell I would pay the price to upgrade them.
Gold and silver are valuable but wisdom is priceless.
Never been fond of first strike and PL /DMPL but only bought modern mint coins as bullion. But got caught up in this ATB BS and sent in 08 buffaloes and others for grading since they are bringing premiums, but then I`ll have to sell them while the markets hot. Guess I`ll have to make a profit at some point.
<< <i>Thanks for all the kind words and to anyone that was a bidder last night. Nothing went stupid cheap but prices were VERY reasonable, IMO. I had the opposite of buyers remorse with a few people saying they missed their bid and would gladly take items if the buyer did not.

While I agree completely, if I was buying on Ebay and 90% of them were FS and 10% were non-FS, I would bid much less for non-FS coins as I would expect a discount since they weren't FS, even though it is meaningless because I would feel that most collectors would want and expect FS since almost all of them are.
<< <i>Got a DG set today. Man the packaging sucks! They could not have even put a piece of bubble wrap between the flips?? >>
I'm glad I didn't get a call from DG! But man.. makes me worry a little about CnT. Although I did specifically ask the lady on the phone who called me back how CnT would ship their coins. I specifically asked if it would be shipped in bubble wrap, air tights (not sure she knew what these were), or some kind of plastic container and she said they will ship in plastic containers. She better not have lied to me or I'm going to be very pissed. >.<
Since I heard about the crappy packaging with the Dillon Gage set I decided to sell them unopened and sold them for 1600.00 so that made my happy since I only paid 930.00 for them.
<< <i> I understand the opinions on First Strike but I think you will take a hit on those non-FS 69's if you sell them. If it was me and I wanted to sell I would pay the price to upgrade them >>
Which is exactly what I'll do if I have to, if and when I decide to sell them. We'll see how the market is 5 or 10 years from now. With all of the 2010s qualifying for the mythical First Strike lipstick, I see no reason to hurry. Besides, I've got some A-Marks in the re-grading pipeline right now that will be adorned with First Strike labels...
Best Charlie Sheen impression I can do on the board...
Just received a email from A-Mark. I was randomly selected to buy a set of pucks. Received the offer at 8:30 pm and it expires at midnight... and I am going to pass.
Just received an e-mail purporting to be from A-Mark Direct offerig to sell me a set, but I have to do so by midnight. Has a link to click on and everything. Sure smells like a pfishing expedition to me, especially since the Paypal account I have links to a different e-mail address!!!
Has anybody else received this????
Edited to add: Just noticed the post above. Had previously stopped reading at "Charlie Sheen..."

Question about the 2011 individual releases as this was my first ever bullion/AP purchase. It seems that most of the AP's waived the normal higher purchase minimum for this program. So with the first 2011 issue will we have to buy from secondary distributors? It appears that maybe Apmex is the only one that would in turn sell directly to the public in low quantities or even individual coins? Like many others I now question if I will purchase again from Apmex. Just curious - thanks.

They've been selling since they started. No MTB "yes we are selling, now we aren't, call back next week, we might be selling in March, maybe" BS.
And Ftrade probably hasn't made anyone on the phone cry.
I wonder when JH, MTB and Apmex will finish. Maybe they are finished, who knows. The lack of info from these APs is pathetic.
Who knows if CnT will return for round two. >>
I suspect CnT will do round 2 as soon as they are mostly finished with Round 1 orders. >>
i just got off the phone with a nice lady at CnT and and she told me that it would be posted to the website when round 2 would be. she did not know exactly when just keep checking the site.

Hoping those 69DMPL`s numbers go up as soon as my grades are posted. There are very few 69DMPL`s listed on e-bay now that the big sale is over, that should help prices unless these new postings go up for sale.

The loner non-First Strike MS69DMPL Mt Hood, Yellowstone and Yosemite are mine!!! I've never been a First Strike aficionado. Maybe with a pop of 1 they will command a premium over First Strike!!! I'm trying to build a 69 DMPL set, but whenever I decide to sell them, I'll certainly market them that way!!!

I understand the opinions on First Strike but I think you will take a hit on those non-FS 69's if you sell them. If it was me and I wanted to sell I would pay the price to upgrade them.
<< <i>Thanks for all the kind words and to anyone that was a bidder last night. Nothing went stupid cheap but prices were VERY reasonable, IMO. I had the opposite of buyers remorse with a few people saying they missed their bid and would gladly take items if the buyer did not.
John >>
You are welcome and a big thanks for shipping the coin out so fast!

She better not have lied to me or I'm going to be very pissed. >.<

Everyone check your inbox - just in case...
Has anybody else received this????
Edited to add: Just noticed the post above. Had previously stopped reading at "Charlie Sheen..."
Lots of great folks here...thanks for insights.
I received same email at 4 PM PST!
Seems like it's the real deal.

<< <i>Question about the 2011 individual releases as this was my first ever bullion/AP purchase. It seems that most of the AP's waived the normal higher purchase minimum for this program. So with the 2011 HP issue will we have to buy from secondary distributors? It appears that maybe Apmex is the only one that would in turn sell directly to the public in low quantities or even individual coins? Like many others I now question if I will purchase again from Apmex. Just curious - thanks. >>
Hot Springs was in 2010.
<< <i>Since I heard about the crappy packaging with the Dillon Gage set I decided to sell them unopened and sold them for 1600.00 so that made my happy since I only paid 930.00 for them. >>
This was a very smart move!!
