Yup. They won't have any problem getting rid of them. With silver in demand and the high premiums for 69s? If anything it means we'll have a easier time getting them.

The deal is, alot of individuals will get their one set from each AP and either hold or flip and make a few bucks.
But the masses of flippers in this issue will start to get bored and it wont be worthwhile for them to keep laying their cash on the line, considering many of the AP sets may hang around a while.
The reason I say they may hang around a while is because if the market gets flooded, and sets hit lows of under 1500, maybe even lower, lots of potential flippers wont want to lay nearly a grand on the line to make a few bucks (a hundred or two)
That will leave quantities at AP's unsold, and you can only buy one per AP.
I dont think there is anywhere near 33,000 collectors of these sets currently - in the future - maybe, but not now.

<< <i>Yikes, the other one is DPL but MS 64!! Here. The owner posted the certification numbers on the NGC forum. >>
Wow, a dimple puck! NGC has outdone itself now! I'd like to see that coin in hand. Now the DPL trumps the PL which trumps the PCGS BU which trumps the raw pucks for sale. What's next? Colorized pucks?? The madness continues......As the puck turns.....

I would love to see Prudential, DG, Jack Hunt, Coins 'N Things and APMEX get stuck with inventory they can't unload as a result of them dragging their feet. But I just don't see that happening, unless the price of silver were to drop like a rock.

Don't think this will happen...they always have HSN and other venues to unload these. Remember, they bought these near melt. They don't need much of a margin with their volume. Even if the market drops, to near melt, they have little risk except a cash-flow tie-up, which isn't huge by most of their standards...imo.
the issue is when alot of this stuff gets oversold.
too many sets coming on all at once.
undercutting each other till there is no profit left after fees.
then the real issue comes. stagnation and liquidity issues. no one wants to sell for issue. I dont think we will get there but i've seen other issues with so much potential end up there briefly.
especially if silver stagnates or moves lower.
be ready to hold these a while, but I think the majority of holders have weak hands. they shouldnt be in it to begin with - they have no idea of what they are buying or how to sell it properly.

Does it look like lipstick? >>
Ha, no it's some kind of a big white spot and I think it's on all of the Yosemites...Unless someone's got one without it, that would be actually a rare one>>>
Just picked up my Amark coins. Love those PCGS slabs (except the lack of edge view). Coins look good, I'd say all MS66-68 (PCGS). Not sure any are quite 69. I will be sending these in to PCGS tomorrow.
BTW, those who aren't home for Fedex delivery you can leave a note on your door to have them left at your local Kinkos for pickup. In my case, the Fedex location is way too far to drive over to, but kinko's isn't far.
I can't see why all of these aren't PL or DMPL. On my 3 remaining APMEX coins, all of them have very deep mirrors from which I can read the reflection of the park name on the bubble bag just about at arm's length...
Im torn as to what to do. Should I sent these to NGC or sell them as is? They all have fairly deep mirrors. It is a three week risk which is how long NGC will take to grade them.
The other risk is that many more Proof Likes will surface, and their values will continue to drop. Here are images:
Many of the specs are on the slab.

Obverse die polish lines are on most of the coins from A-Mark; not bad but noticeable. PL surfaces abound and overall quality is excellent. These 5 coins average 68+ with 2 pieces having the dream shot at a 70. Here's my comments and grades. The A-Mark shipping box is nearly identical in size to a USPS Medium Flat Rate box (which is heading back to PCGS tomorrow!).
Grand Canyon has excellent obverse with slight scuff marks on the reverse between Y and O. Should go MS68, MS67 at worst.
Hot Springs has tiny rim scratches on the obverse but the reverse looks perfect. MS69.
Mount Hood has slight hazing in the obverse fields with tiny rim scratches as well and the reverse has a scratch under 2010. MS67.
Yellowstone is very strong on both surfaces with just a couple tiny rim scuffs on the reverse. MS69.
Yosemite is also very strong on both surfaces with just a touch of hazing on the reverse. MS69.
<< <i>I have a feeling high grades are not going to be as rare as people think with these.... >>
I agree, I think what we have seen were the worst coins, cherry picked, poorly handled that hit the market. We also have to consider that certain batches will be better, the first coins off the presses will be dealt with by the mint more carefully and will have better strikes. Once the mint employees get into the thousands of coins, they will make more mistakes and be less careful. The Amark coins could be the best of both worlds, the earliest strikes, hence the DMPL designations, evidence of die polish, PCGS handling the coins, in an experienced and careful, in that "I don't own it and could get canned" kind of way plus early enough in the shifts that the mint employees actually cared.
I do have to say that given that some of these are getting PL and DMPL grades at NGC, if I think my coins have a shot at that they are going to NGC and not PCGS. I made that mistake with the high relief coins. I had coins that were clearly PL and FS 70's from PCGS that really would have made a ton more money in NGC holders. maybe PCGS will wake up and move with the market instead of thinking they make the market.
PCGS 69s are tough. If you saw my PCGS 68 Mt Hood raw many would be saying that its a 69PL for sure. It looks virtually flawless w/deep mirrored fields.
Or course it may well have graded 69pl. But, based on my coins I can tell you that PCGS 69s ain't easy to get.
Red Herring, thanks for the pics! Kinda makes me wish that they'd get around to shipping mine.
Observation #1 - They are reminiscent of the 3.8 oz. 20 Balboa that I had back in 1979. The thing was fun to own.
Observation #2 - I really wish that they'd given some thought to the Obverse, and that's not a slam on George Washington. It just seems like a dumb idea to use the same Obverse as a circulating quarter. I still can't get over it.
Q: Are You Printing Money? Bernanke: Not Literally
So now that it is Feb 1 (my shipment target delivery date), I expected my A-Mark set Fed Ex status to show "Out for Delivery", but it instead appears that the status is regressing. The current status is "Shipment information sent to FedEx".
They absolutely provided the best packaging I have ever received in a coin shipment and these coins have NOT been picked over. I would guess at least 2 would grade 69. The question is: does one just send these monsters back to PCGS as-is for numeric grading or should they be cracked out which could be quite a mess?

again, it depends if there are really 33,000 real collectors.
there are not 33,000 collectors of these today. not yet. maybe in 6 months. who knows.
you have entered the FLIPPER-ZONE
Key signs of a FLIPPER of ATB sets.....
1) hardly any feedback, many times less than 50
2) feedback is for sale of toys or video games
3) sometimes horse racing calendars
4) dolls and alike
I'm not kidding - these are fom ACTUAL feedback of current sellers
Wait till this gets in full swing.
It will be a dog eat dog world out there.......

If I can get any more of these sets, I'm gonna become an investor.
Which really means I'll sell a set 2, 3, 5, or 7 years from now at an enormous profit.
Or maybe not. Who knows?
greatest pump and dump ever...I am so glad I sold my original APMEX for stupid money.
It was hard to list it, not knowing if I was going to get another. But a solid triple and it was game on.
Especially in the earlier days of "The APs are comparing customer lists!".
Then along came FideliTrade and I knew I had made the right call when I received firm confirmation and check cashed.
The real bonus was AMARK. With their ease of ordering and Paypal, I was able to activate friends and family.
Mine arrived Friday and because they were slabbed, I decided to break em up for a double. (4 sold for $400+ , 1 unsold so far )
final tally was 2 free sets + $600 ($1000 if the final HS single sells).
Don't really care about APMEX Part 2, but if they make it easy then I will F&F a few more sets
and send them all to be graded.
Probably spend the $1000 on MINT "P" set.
Last one to leave, turn out the lights.
