I requested delivery on April 6th. Cards arrived today via UPS:

    image

The Reiser looks pretty nice, soft corners but no creases. The Gamble is obviously offcenter, but corners are okay. Cruz is great (should be being a 2002), Francona and checklist look decent.

    image

Ginsberg is a freakin' shame. Checklist is covered on both sides with wax residue. Freese has what appears to be a cigarette burn on the back. Others speak for themselves image

    image

Same as above. Majority have corner wear with the best of the bunch probably being the Francona. May send the Francona, 61 checklist, and the Reiser for grading. Sending the Ginsberg to Barfvader...

I Would send the Cruz in for grading, not sure i would on the 52 though

Sabrgeek: I have been offered an 18-card deal with a nice deal of vintage in it for the Brock that I think I am going to accept, so I do not think we would be able to work something out, but I am interested in your Strikeout Leaders, Playoff Game, and Cardinals Rookies. Does anything in this group of cards interest you?

1965 1965 Rookie Stars Card / Washington Senators Card Number: 181
1966 1965 AL ERA Leaders Card / Topps
1970 Gail Hopkins / First Base / Chicago White Sox

If so let me know and hopefully we can come up with a deal. Thanks

The only one of those 3 cards I have any interest in is the 66 ERA Leaders card:

Since no one on that card is going to the HOF:

    I'd counter with:

    The AL Strikeout Leader card

    The Cardinals Rookie Card

and any of the other $1.50 1971 cards; your choice

Book Value is $5 each way so a fair trade for each of us

Again let me know and I'll propose that trade

    Rich

Okay, I have to ask...I unlocked a 1967 Al Downing, Yankees the other night. I've gotten more offers on that one card than probably all my other cards combined. Why???

I don't know, but I will say that the '65 Downing commands a surprisingly steep price. PSA 8s usually go for over $130-$160, and I've seen them go for over $200. FWIW, the weight for Downing's card in that set is 4.50, which is more than I would expect it to be.

I get the same with my 67 Yankees Hal Reniff - 6 or 7 offers a day on it, everyday. Problem is, all the offers suck

I have a 1966 Pedro Ramos Yankees card for which I get a lot of offers; and nothing has been close yet either.

No T-206's yet, but I heard a rumor that Topps is going to start releasing them at midnight eastern time on June 30th. That is by no way official, but is practically the only insight I have heard into the T-206's on the MCG site.

Hi BV of the cards listed above is $3,189.

I will sell this lot and the opportunity for a reasonable offer. Please serious inquiries only. You must have a card that there is only 1 unlocked of to make the trade.
(if it is a higher $ card we can do the trade and then I can offer the 1 card up for another cheap one you have and you would just need to make sure your ready to accept asap!)
    Thanks for looking! :-D

    Thanks for looking! :-D >>

Works better when the person with the cheap card offers for the high dollar card =p

I wish you luck on your sale. I was happen when I sold mine for enough money that I could buy a very nice PSA graded card or PSA graded pack =)

For the 1 of a kind cards, I used a 2005 topps common. For some reason on 1 of each of those have been unlocked to date. Took all of 20 seconds to acquire one by offering a '87 Robin Yount or some other fairly worthless card.

<< <i>No T-206's yet, but I heard a rumor that Topps is going to start releasing them at midnight eastern time on June 30th. That is by no way official, but is practically the only insight I have heard into the T-206's on the MCG site. >>

Someone from Topps stated on their facebook page that the T206s were already in the system but no one had redeemed one yet. That was a few days ago. Must mean there aren't too many to be had

Ohh, I must have missed that. I can't imagine the trade value the T-206's will hold if they are as scarce as described.

I personally expect them to be less common than the autographs

Gotta love Topps. They've got a first pitch promotion for Strasburg and the site is down for maintenance... Classic!

Dangg! There have been 17 Strasburg's unlocked so far and there are 86 different trade offers for those. Scrolling through those offers blew my mind, people are offering their entire collections and nice groups of 50's cards for them. STOP THE INSANITY! (=

Funnier yet is what the Strasburg owners are asking in trade...

53 Mays, 54 Kaline, 52 Berra and 66 Mantle... Jeesh!
  • Options
Topps has said there will be strasburg cards given away all throughout the remainder of the promotion... that means til baseball season next year.... limitted quanitities will be a lot more than I think people expect.... just imagine if the 20 a day pace kept up over the next 8 months...... that's over 1,000 right there easily.
  • Options
If I were one of the people that got a Strasburg tonight I would accept some of those offers in a heartbeat, as the quantity unlocked goes up the trade value will decrease and the people holding out for a '54 Kaline, '53 Mays, etc. will be left to regret that they didn't take the crazy offers they are getting while the hype is at its peak.

Apodacas... I've got a couple, but not the 76. You going for only 1 of each, or as many as you can get? If the latter, I'd trade you mine for any yankees... at least if the site ever comes up.
    Go Yanks!

you know i just started with 79 tryiong to trade dwon from the '00 stuff and have traded for and traded away probably 25+ 79 bobs. then i thought why no try to get all the apodacas, why not so i'm looking for 1 of each unless a better trade comes a long. i also picked up a pinella rookie and a 71 so now i would like to 69-80 pinella's if possible, just for something to do. i would trade teh whole player collections when they are done for a early 50's card.

your right if the site ever comes back up

I have a feeling there is going to be a lot of strasburgs... i.e. thousands.... 5 more already unlocked today (not counting anyone whom may have redeemed theirs)... whoever buys the ones on ebay are going to be disappointed.

I sure hope so because I would love to unlock/buy one of these to add to the regular base set I have already collected. Ya never know, nonetheless I've got my fingers crossed.

Does anyone know if the Strasburg rookie is a prize card? ...just curious to know if Topps values that card as much as the ebay buyer that just bought one for 405 dollars! YIKES!

I thought I read something where they said that card was going to pop up in other places.

I've got a 73, 84 and 87 piniella i'd trade you if you pursue that. Looking for yankees from the same year or better. Let me initiate trade though, as yankee fans are quick clickers. image

Topps announced that there would be a #661 Stephen Strasburg RC in factory sets...but there is a catch. It will have a different picture and a different card back so the only way you can get the Million Card Giveaway Strasburg is on the actual Million Card Giveaway site, or if you put down 400 dollars for one on ebay.

Is anybody interested in trading me two 69's for my '67 Chuck Harrison (Astros)? If so, you can either PM me or just offer up the trade. Thanks

deosn't the actual press release on the topps million site says these cards will also be inserted into Allen & Ginter?

The press release says that he will have rookie cards in practically all of the Topps baseball sets for the rest of the year, but they will correspond with that release. They will be different cards than the flagship Strasburg rookie that you can unlock on the Million Card Giveaway site.

There have been 25 Strasburgs unlocked since yesterday morning.... we should easily see the numbers go over 100 by sometimes on Saturday.
