I got my first MCG entry. Should be fun.

Anyone entering the ToppsTown codes and filling in their binder?? I'm over 50% full...

I noticed that these cards are "numbered" on the back TMC-1 through TMC-10. I wonder if the numbers have any significance? I only have about 25 cards so I can't tell if some are rarer than others.

I busted a couple jumbo cases and got between 8-12 of each card in the MCG. I think they are all equally common.

I'm really, really hoping the ones they send out (at least the modern ones) are stamped in some way. I'd love to have some more Butlers to chase.

Here are the two I've gotten so far in my Target "wax" box:

    image

I bought 4 packs at another retailer (Fred Meyers) and the wrappers were foil. The wrappers in the Target box are plastic. Guess I'll have to add them to my wrapper collection. I haven't updated that in a long time...

Anyone in the East time zone going to stay up until midnight tonight to see if the site kicks in? If it does in fact open up then at least for me it will only be 9pm on the west coast.

before the countdown clock on the site went away, the countdown was pointing at 5AM but not sure if that meant EST or PST

Can't wait till I can key in the 60 or so cards I have from my jumbo case purchase.

My prediction: 1968 Jim Nash, 1973 Ty Cline, 50 cards from 1988, 7 cards from 1992, and a 2002 Sammy Sosa.

Or I might get a Shannon Stewart insert card.... I think I have set a record for the most Stewart game used card pulls.

If I get lucky with anything I'll share here. This should be entertaining.

WooHoo! I picked up two more MCG cards! Got TMC-2 (Gary Carter) and TMC-4 (Ichiro).

A question came to mind as I found these cards. Is there any strategy in WHEN you should submit the special codes on back? Or are the codes locked in to specific cards? I could see Topps holding off on letting key, valuable cards out too early. They wouldn't want to put a damper on any enthusiasm in the public's pack-purchasing potential (PP-PP for short image)...

    So far

    1985 Jerry Willard
    1970 Rich Rollins

The site seems to be real slow. Or maybe is it because I entered the code for the 52 Mantle.......

I'm trying to enter my second, but the website is hanging bad so I am guessing they are getting hit hard right now.

And a question, are these like the buybacks from Heritage? Will they be stamped on the front or back as $1M Give-away card?
