Wow! Finally had one of those "oh man, better accept this trade before it goes away!" trades. Had an offer of a 1953 high number short print Ken Raffensberger for my 1959 Andy Pafko. Low book on SMR on the Raffensberger is $45 and the Pafko is $4. Was trying so hard to get the trade through that I hit it twice and at first it said the trade couldn't be completed. I panicked but checked my collection and the 1953 was there. VERY excited.

Looks like superfan is back... Between him and bseitz, I had 103 offers in the past day offering 80's commons for 50's commons and my tougher Yankees.

Do these guys just sit around all day sending out offers hoping some dolt will accept the offer? Jeesh, it's annoying to have to delete all of them over and over and over again.

Guess it depends your purpose in trading online. If value, keep the older. If possible to grade, keep the older. If wanting HOFers and the like, go for the Rose. Since no one knows the condition of the cards, not sure it really matters when trading commons overall.

THose Rose specials are from 1986 Topps and worth .25-.40 each. It's a bad deal and people have been using that card to take advantage of those that aren't familiar with the year it's from.

I sent Topps a message asking them to fix it, since every other card they show has the year of production listed in it's name.

try putting all your cards in the checkout basket and see if your shipping is free. You can just cancel the transaction with a click of a button

I know all autos are prize cards and there are other ones too. Just not sure of the exact specs. Think someone with 59 Frank Robinson got free shipping

I put an interesting trade out there early, early, early this morning... if anyone feels like winning an autographed Pujols mini-helmet!

I started working on the "Most Cardinals" contest, but with only 1.5 days remaining, I've accepted the fact that I most likely will not win.

So I took 250 of my Cardinals cards (213 different cards) from 1963-2009, the ones I don't really want to keep, and posted them all in a trade for a Stephen Strasburg.

So, if anyone has been working on the Cardinals contest... and has a Starsburg to part with... this lot should pretty much seal the deal for you on the contest!!! I can't guarantee that, but from what I've seen coming across in offers for Cardinals cards and having exchanged messages with some of the other folks working on this contest, I'm guessing 350-400 will be the winning total.

I'd like some input on a trade I had offered to me, it's a 1974 Jose Cardenal for my 1966 Sandy Valdespino. It is an 8 year difference, but Cardenal is a more well-known player...should I take it or let it go?

    Buckeye:

I'm fine with any $12 card (or close enough) in trade. I'm OK with going either pre-64 or after 64 or just a similar priced card from the same series.

    Let me know

    And for Zep;
My only 2 current Red Sox cards are 1989 Lee Smith and 1991 Wade Boggs. Don't need a ton to be happy to trade those 2 away

I like the Reds and vintage. I don't mind trading a 60's card for a number of 70's or vice versa, so if you see anything you like let me know.

Sabrgeek: I could trade my '61 Joe Koppe and a '66 of your choice for the card (I don't know the values of either of those so let me know if I need to add something), if you have something different in mind I have my new tradelist up, so let me know if anything else interests you.

I'd like to hang onto the '61 team card, but I still want to trade for the '64 so let's say we keep the '61 Koppe, (or switch it for the '60 Claude Osteen, whichever has a higher value) then put in something like the '71 AL strikeout leaders or the '73 Pirates Team Card and maybe something else to even out value. Let me know what you would want and I can send over the offer.
