    zep33,

I just took my entire MCG collection for delivery yesterday... with the only card I didn't want to keep being a 1958 Billy Klaus... if you don't have it already, let me know. I still have your mailing address in my PM history... I'd be happy to send it to you once I receive it from Topps (who knows, it might even be PSA 3 quality, LOL)

That's funny, I traded my Klaus recently when someone offered me a 58 high # Sox card for it. Figured I'd have an easier time getting another Klaus LOL

    thanks

<< <i>LMAO - I just put all 332 of my cards in the checkout basket to see if I happen to have anything that qualifies for free shipping.

    I didn't

They wanted $178 for shipping 332 cards

LOL think I'll leave them a neutral >>

Scary, isn't it!!! I've heard from a number of people on their facebook page that they put in orders and weeks went by without receiving their cards... so they called Topps and were told they would fulfill their orders once they were able to acquire all the cards needed to give them everything they requested for delivery!?!?!? Seriously, WTF??? No wonder a $20-25 shipment costs nearly $200... they're basically making you buy the cards all over again!

I gave the St. Louis Cardinals contest a good go... and landed way short of the winner. I had 292 Cardinals cards, plus another 20-30 other cards. No way I was paying their outrageous shipping charge for what was probably 90% common cards.

I've spent the past 3 weeks trading my collection down to vintage cards. Roughly 320 cards were successfully traded down to 30 St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Braves cards from 1956-1959... the 58 Red Sox I previously mentioned... and a 1964 Jerry Bucheck (former Cardinal, scored the first run at old Busch Stadium... and also happened to be one of the car dealers I worked with when I went looking for a new Ford about a decade ago).

Put my delivery order in yesterday... it said 9-13 business days for delivery after I checked out... so we'll see. If they come in time, I'm considering putting together a small vintage group sub with the August $4.50 1956-present special.

Did anyone else take any cards in hand yet from MCG? Would anyone be interested in a 1956-1959 group sub? I'll have 30 or 31 cards to sub on it, but need at least 19 more to get the 50 minimum required. I wouldn't mind a little buffer room either, as I've heard enough people on the facebook page say it was hit or miss with 50's delivered... some were good quality, others absolutely horrible!

    Hey xbaggypants
I only collect Red Sox so the 53 Niarhos won't be traded unless you knock my socks off.

    I'd only do a 1 for 1 swap on the 55 Amalfitano!
