Similar to the aborigines, the population of Philadelphia has been studied for years by scientists in hopes of detecting advanced human behavior...in fact, the latest study ipublished in the July 2009 issue of the Scientific Journal has concluded that after much intensive study that such behavior has been proven to be "virtually non-existent."

The Mets bats are actually starting to show some signs of life. 18 runs, 3 doubles, 3 triples and 3 hr's in the past two games. That's pretty darn good considering how bad they have been playing.

In case you haven't noticed, the Mets are no longer down. Yes, the 3 game winning streak is a modest one at that but all streaks have to start somewhere. The team is actually coming together. The division may be out of the question but the wild card sure isn't.

I guess reality is setting in for Mets fans that even though it's only early August, their season is over...kinda remarkable considering the bookies had the Mets before the season as slight favorites to win the NL East.
A pre-season favorite to win the NL East, out of the race by early August, and they were really out of it even before the All Star break - Yes, I'd call that "remarkable" meant in a negative way. When's the last time a pre-season favorite to win a division was done by the All Star break? - That sure doesn't happen often.
Hey, don't worry about it, the Mets will "get 'em" next year. LOL LOL LOL

The Mets are not out of it. The wildcard is still there for the taking.
Also, when the Phillies lose in the upcoming playoffs, I'm wondering which Phillie fan will be the first to cry about all the posts and threads I will make about it?
I know one or two of you guys will, I can see it now. However, it will be well deserved LOL

True but you will find something else to make excuses about....you always do. Whether it's about the Yucs or the Sillies we can always count on some great excuses.
I believe during the WS last year you were crying about the game that was played in the rain.
Get your excuses ready for the Sillies post season. Maybe write them down so you have them ready when the get bounced?

Where the heck is everyone!?
Reyes should be back by now.....
I only watch the games when Santana is pitching, even those games can be brutal if we don't score runs.
We need a powerful bat in the lineup and someone who can label himself as the leader.
Someone is going to get fired and I think Jerry will get the boot.
What do you guys think?
the Mutz....
