When do prices get locked in? Is it until they charge your credit card? Or is it when you ordered it? Right now the "pending" charge is listed as $1193.95 on my CC. Will that be a changing amount until they ship it out and charge it?
I realize the verbage on the UHR web page says the following:
"Pricing for the 2009 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle Gold Coin could vary weekly dependent upon the London Fix weekly average Gold price."
But does that mean that people who ordered one week might pay more or less than those who ordered the previous or latter weeks? Or does that mean that everyone who ordered will pay whatever the price fix is at the time of shipping?

You'll pay whatever the price is at the time you ordered it.
I received a telephone call at 7:30 AM in reference to a fax i send last night to the Mint Directors office. A Mrs Stevenson had my order in front of her and she stated that it is now in print status. This means that it was picked then the order was printed up and sent to the warehouse. It could take up to two weeks for me to receive it depending how many are being shipped out. I asked her about my credit card and she said it has not been charged yet. She stated that they have resummed shipping but not a lot have been shipped. I also asked her about FIFO and she stated that is the way the system is suppose to work but they are having a lot of problems with the warehouse. This makes me believe that the warehouse also screwed up the book problem to go along with not shipping orders in sequence.
On Mint website, the Lincoln Silver Proof Comm does not show that it is available for shipping, but it doesn't show 'not available' either. However, it does show as in stock if you order it.
So there is no order to when they were ordered? No FIFO, I thought that was what was being fixed? My order was within the first 15 minutes and still nothing...
BST transactions Wondercoin, MCM, levinll, Zrlevin and ajaan. Been buying and selling coins on E-Bay since 2002 as Monk2580
Now when you put one in your shopping cart, it simply says "backordered" under the availability column!!
Why is this creating such a head ache for the mint? Seems simple enough.....it's been on the books as a product for MONTHS upon MONTHS. What....didn't they think anyone would WANT one??
I haven't received my 2009 Lincoln Commemoratives, but I did just receive the US Mint's brochure announcing the release of the Lincoln Comms via USPS today.

Thursday is re-pricing day, but that guy on the forklift just destroyed all that warehouse shelving yesterday. The new price increase will make up for the cost of the damage to their warehouse.

Dear Customer,
The United States Mint is pleased to announce that we will resume shipping of the 2009 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle Gold Coin during the week of February 22, 2009. However, because of production problems with the Companion Book, you may receive only the COIN and presentation box at this time. If you are a customer who receives the COIN without the Companion Book, we will ship the Companion Book to you, at no extra charge, when it becomes available.
If you ordered your 2009 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle Gold Coin between January 22, 2009, and February 9, 2009, you are under the 30-day return policy. If you ordered on or after February 10, 2009, you are under the seven-day return policy. The return timeframe for the 2009 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle Gold COIN and presentation box will begin on the date you receive it. If you are dissatisfied for any reason with your 2009 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle Gold COIN, you may send it back to the United States Mint within the applicable return period for a full refund or replacement. If you return your COIN for any reason prior to receiving the Companion Book, we will cancel your shipment of the Companion Book. If you receive the Companion Book within the applicable return period, you must return both for a full refund.
If your Companion Book is shipped separately, the exchange timeframe for it also will begin on the date you receive it and under the same return policy – 30 days or seven days – as applicable. We will make no refunds for the Companion Book; we will make exchanges for damages only.
Customers’ orders will be shipped on a first-come, first-served basis. You will be notified by email when your order has shipped. If you do not receive the Companion Book with your COIN, you will receive a second e-mail notification when we ship the Companion Book.
If you ordered the 2009 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle Gold Coin between January 22 and February 23, 2009, we expect to ship it by April 24, 2009. If you place your order for the 2009 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle Gold Coin on or after February 24 (and up until March 24, 2009), we expect to ship it by May 24, 2009.
Thank you for your interest in United States Mint products."
Does not disappoint. Picture nicer and more "real" than PCGS picture of one......Looks like the capsule took a few hits, from that warehouse "mishap". .................Edit...The mint/shipper sent e-mail about "resuming" shipping. Too late am taking my business elsewhere.

I don't think that is correct information. Isn't the gold version only available for 2009.

No need to worry. The Chinese have plenty of knock offs that have already saturated the market.
