Does anyone know what the order number was so we could estimate how far along the distribution center is in getting these out and maybe shed a little light on where all the rest of us are in the pecking order?
Just tried to check my order status on the mint's website & got this message:
"This feature is temporarily unavailable. Please call 1-800-USA-MINT (872-6468) if you would like to track an order. We apologize for this inconvenience."

Let's hope that means they are updating the site with new shipping info.
Date of delivery for my coin keeps getting set back to later and later. Perhaps there will be a slab designation for "last issued" that I can get it.
At any rate I hope that I get a coin for the price that I was promised when I ordered the coin on the first day of the offering.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
*wasn't it 1/29 or 1/30 in the first few minutes it went on sale? *by the time I got my order placed it was 12:50, a.m. of course, and the ship date changed to 2/6 *then there was the 2/11 backorder e-mail *then another e-mail came with a 2/18 backorder *finally we are at 2/20 per another e-mail and I talked to someone last night that said "2/20" as well
all reps I have talked with in the past 3 days have told me 0.00 (none, nada, zilch) have shipped from them.
they seem to be aware that there are pictures online.
One rep said that they were sold by the Home Shoping Network.
(large grain of salt taken)
12:50 am order time My cancel boxes are gone both are showing in stock and reserved my order shows in process the last rep said they show "@ Pick" meaning they are in the "pick and pack" stage. I was told the first batch will all go out the 20th.
So, as with all of you, I wait .... for what friggin reason I don't know... for the 20th and hope there is no other e-mail pushing the date out.
Considering they went through the Buffalo, First Spouse, 20th Ann. releases, I am dumbfounded as to why there is such a delay.
tidbits: before they changed their shipping methods, it was FedEx only for these High Value shipments. They always came next day, and the "shipped" e-mail always came after the item arrived. I was able to use "track by reference" with the mint's order number and find if it was coming that day, and before I got the mint's e-mail. Now it is hit-or-miss, and if it comes by UPS the drivers almost always leave the box without waiting for a signature. Luckily FedEx almost always get the signature.
The account site doesn't go down for new shipped date information.
For those with the "wrong address" letters, call your CC co. and see if you have a charge pending or a charge. If you do, then I think that should put your mind at ease.
""IF"" there were some sold by the HSN, I would expect some to resubmit. I would think this is mostly to get a higher grade FS/ER grade on what the mint rep said were "pre-graded coins." However, I couldn't help but wonder if any person would not also realize that would start the FS/ER dates much sooner and lowering the coin counts. Perhaps contacting the grader of choice and enquiring about the dates would be a good idea.
As for price changes, they sold you a coin for a price. we can all go online and see the price paid. That is not changing. I'm not worried about that.
Finally, I'd like to say "hi" to my dad Miles. Good to see you here.
Called the mint about one hour ago. Talked to three different people.
They are packaging the UHR. My credit card is pending and will not be charged until the day it is shipped. She knows of none that have been shipped. My order is scheduled to be shipped on the 20th. True or not -who knows
The delay is due to the Mint loosening the capsule holder. They want to make sure that when you open the elegant mahogany presentation case, the coin capsule will be loose, sitting in the corner with the capsule partially opened and jammed up against the coin rim.

I had to do the math with my credit card ---balance + open credit + cost of UHR and came up with the total line of credit on the card. I called the cc company and they confirmed there was a pre-charge hold from the Mint on 2/9 - and it's still there when I checked tonight. Order 30827XXX @ 12:22. Three emails from the Mint: ship date 2/6, then 2/17, and the last one received on 2/3 pushed it up one more day to 2/18. The order checking page at the Mint is unavailable tonight (did they take it down to plug in shipping information???), so I've joined the ranks of the "hurry up and wait".
I just checked my CC, and mine stilll has one charge that is about $1200 in pending. It has been there for over a week I think. 30826XXX - All is loaded, hammer pulled back, and ready for them to pull the trigger.
<< <i>I am in the same boat. Ordered at 12:26 #30828xxx
Cancel boxes are gone and all is in progress, in stock and reserved. My CC was hit on 2/9 with the pending charge but not actually charged.
My last back order date before the current in stock and reserved was 2/6. I have blank emails from the mint and do not know what was sent.
My UHR will be sent USPS.
I am in the hurry up and wait stage >>
Has anyone had their card actually charged. Mine was only hit with pre-approval charges also. I don't think they can charge until they actually ship. >>
Mine was charged and then credited, somebody or something must have gotten screwed up at the FULLFILLMENT CENTER. >>
Strongly suggests there was a hold placed on sending orders out for some reason. Was yours headed out UPS as opposed to USPS? Apparently the mint has been notified of a glitch in their contract with UPS that failed to specify signed delivery was required and it is possible that has thrown a monkey wrench into everything.
Just received some letter from the Mint saying MY ADDRESS DOESN'T MATCH MY CREDIT CARD?? The only difference I can see is that the Mint's system automatically generated the last 4 digits of my zip during registration, otherwise the address is exactly the same!! The letter says they may run out of coins blah blah before my order is filled!
So I called the Mint to ask WTF and first the system hung up on me, then on second attempt after a long wait someone answered then asked for the order number 3 different times then said "Oh everything is OK now." They claim I don't have to mail back the form but won't say why and won't tell me if they "fixed" anything in their "system."
So my question is, should I mail back the form with the correction of removing the last 4 digits on the zip? As if there hasn't already been enough drama with this freaking coin and is this what you all go through every time you order from the Mint?? Do we get a group rate on ulcer meds or what?!! >>

considering so many early orderers are still getting the "next week" ship date, I can't help but wonder if the "Home Shopping Network" story is true and that pcgs coin is one of them.
I think the good news for the rest of us is the "@ Pick" showing up in the Mint's computer. How much longer could they be in that state????
perhaps no grade is available in the database because pcgs messed up the entry, as they do sometimes.

That is probably member CharlieC's coin. We thought he was making it up that he had one but he pm'ed me his mint order number and last name. I looked it up at the mint web site and sure enough it showed he was sent one on feb 6th and it was delivered by ups on feb 9th.
The thread is here. he posted his pcgs submission number in it also.

Thanks. That is interesting. What is with the "no grade available" designation. If you send it in to PCGS for "1st Strike" designation don't you also get a grade?????? >>
Calm down!
The order is in the system but the coin has yet to be graded.

Hey, you're obviously not a newbie with a 2,000 + post count and a name like northcoin, how come you don't already know this stuff? Been away on a Long vacation? Not making fun but I've been around a little bit and don't remember you prior to this thread...
