Coin was in stock and reserved Book was backordered with 2/24 ship date order number: 3083xxxx (high x's)
A different order today shows both coin and book in stock and reserved - status yesterday:
Coin was in stock and reserved Book was backordered with 2/24 ship date order number: 3084xxxx (low x's)
So within just a couple hundred orders, my two statuses are slightly different - one has cancel boxes, one doesnt - their statuses were identical yesterday

In the past this was always the case for me. They pack the express stuff first and then go through and do the tougher registered packing for P.O. boxes.

I predict all coins will be shipped in crappy boxes and will arrive in the rain and be left on the stoop...where the dog will pee on it...before ripping it open!
And that this chain of events will repeat itself thousands of times across the country!
No Post office box, I work out of an office at my house, so it will be coming here. If everyone's starts showing up I will call the mint tomorrow since they are suppose to be going in a First in- First out order.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Yesterday the Mint Catalog intro page showed a ship date of late March and today it is back to 2/06.
(My first thought was, wow they must have had a lot of cancellations. On reading through the ad it became apparent they just copy and pasted their earlier ad from before the promotion started.)

In reviewing the Mint's website, the language used as to priority is, "Orders will be processed on a first-in, first-out basis." Is the processing of orders something different from the mailing or sending out of the ordered product?
OK - next one here who calls the Mint see what kind of explanation they offer as to why earlier orders are not going out ahead of later orders.
I ordered some 2008 Platinum Proof and some came yesterday to my post office box. The package was NOT shipped registered, required no signature, and was in a very crappy box with just one piece of tape around the box. The post office even scanned the box as delivered at 10:03 am, put the box in their metal boxes for package that do not need to be signed for, and put the key in my post office box. It could have been in there for days until I picked up my mail. At the same time the seven day clock would be ticking at the Mint since it showed delivered. I don't know how PCGS will be able to determine when the boxes were sent for FS. They certainly could be tampered with very easily. No security at all!
Received a email from the mint this morning that coin and book was backordered. Check status just now and cancel boxes are gone with in stock & reserved!

That is the information I was looking for. I got the same email, but my cancel boxes are still there. I called the Mint and the CS rep just sold me what the email said...

Credit card was charged....guess I'm just lucky as a late orderer!!!!!
I just noticed that they didn't actually charge my card, they just put a hold on the funds, this may be significant or not. If they charge it they have to ship - per credit card regs. (I think)
No change in UHR price for tomorrow (2/12 Thursday). UHR will be holding at $1,289 since average for all London fix for gold held between $900 - $949.99 from 2/5 AM to 2/11 AM.
How about a pancake for the latest order time and had CC charged and cancel boxes gone!
