A friend of mine called the Mint today to ask when the UHR was being shipped because the dates are constantly changing, and showing right now it will be sent today. She told him the earliest date any of them will be shipped will be MARCH 31. He said "You're kidding!" and she said no, that's the first date of delivery and everyone will be getting notices.
So what's going on? Do the people who are taking these calls really know?
My own date has changed 5 times in just the past 2 days... and that's likely because I've "only" looked 5 times! Right now it's saying 2/6 for the coin, 2/20 for the book. I honestly don't care when they ship, just wish they'd be straight with their buyers on a date.
Have bought and sold on BST, many references available when asked.

Right now, mine is saying In stock and reserved on the coin, and shipping 2/6 for the book. It's also giving my address as "shipped to".
It's mid-afternoon on Feb. 6th. Do you know where your coin is?
Q: Are You Printing Money? Bernanke: Not Literally
<< <i>A friend of mine called the Mint...ight Do the people who are taking these calls really know? ... >>
In a word, No.
This is what happened with the 20th AGE. The people manning the mint's calling center have no idea. Some supervisors in the past would on occassion share their insights, though even then, often proved unreliable.
Once you get a tracking order from the mint and see it in DSL/FED Ex/or UPS's site, then you know it's moving on its way toward you.
Untill you see it in your hand, you never really know for sure.

The address as shipped to was always there, it's also on the one I printed back on 1/22...
I ordered first one 1/29, #30909***, posted delivery date shown as 3/13...
Second coin, ordered 2/3, projects ship date as 3/20...
Initially ordered two in separate transactions, but duplicate address resulted in an email from the Mint a couple days later, cancelling one of the original orders.... "one to a household"...
I was able to order a second one though, noted above... and checking the Mint site today, they raised the price again... I think these started at $1,189... but you can add another $100 to that today... Shoulda got my order in when they were going for $1,139... or was it $1,129?

RE: One per household:
So if you have a secnd home does that entitle you to two?
Mine still says in stock and reserved with the book expected to ship three days ago. The cancel boxes are still there though.

Well, I just went to "In Stock and Reserved" on the book; however, the coin is still backordered with an expected ship date of 2/06. Sounds to me like the mint is going to have to visit Mr. Peabody and take a trip in the "Wayback" machine to meet my expected ship date!
My order 30831xxx has had the coin "In stock and reserved" for the past few days, while the book was still in back order. This morning the book also changed to "In stock and reserved". On top of that news, I just check my bank account and a charge of $1,193.95 from the US Mint has just appeared. It seems like it is on the way.

Do you think the person responsible for programming the updates on the orders for the UHR is having a good laugh at our expense? My orders for this coin have no gone through nearly every permutation of order status possible. I have had dates vary +/- 1 month, everything at one point or another has been "in stock and reserved", backordered, line item cancelled, etc. Now I check the status and see that the book is in stock and reserved and the coin is (was) scheduled to ship last Friday. What's next?

P.S. I heard a rumor of a UHR 2009 obverse/1933 reverse - any truth to that?
IN just the past five minutes my UHR coin/cook went from BOTH being "in stock and reserved" to having the book ship date move to 2/24. This morning the book ship date was 2/20.
Just called PCGS CS on the UHR coin number. Talked with Monica. Very nice to talk with. On the UHR, First Strike is # 407405. Non First Strike is # 407404.

This is exactly what my 2 orders are showing (3083xxxx and 3084xxxx)
The Mint is always behind on thier status. What is important is if there is a hold on your payment method, if so then it won't be long before they ship.

Order #30828xxx
Website shows "in stock and reserved" and 2/6 shipping but the US Mint service rep said that her systems show a 2/18 shipping date.
Based on this, I wouldn't expect my coin today. With all these continually changing shipping dates, it will probably be 2/18.
So what's going on? Do the people who are taking these calls really know?

A note of caution here. You can call UPS and specify that nothing be dropped without a signature.
That stops a drop and run.
