I recently added this escudo to my collection and filled a hole in my mint+denomination set. The entire gold series is pretty much aspirational for me so when I found this coin for sale at a price I could afford, I went for it. Researching the coin, I could not find very many past sales that were straight graded and not counterstamped. I did find one on Heritage that I have to assume is an extreme outlier. If not, then I got a very good deal on my coin.

If anyone could explain that price, I would appreciate it. Anyways here is my coin and its new place in my set.
Got this one not too long ago from a local. Exceptionally nice in hand.
I'm BACK!!! Used to be Billet7 on the old forum.
Glad it went to a good home!!! As you know they are extremely rare in mint state grades.
