I wish it were that easy... Sometimes, you're not sure who's watching and you don't want to alert potential competition. It might be the greed in all of us . . . that most won't freely admit. When all is said and done, I priced the purchases to be able to be pieced out with the ones that are dupes to put me into the others at numbers I should be comfortable with. But then again, I could've overestimated their values...

Jason really wanted the Christensen - so I'm getting the Matson...which is fine with me. I love that many of the signatures were ballpoint pen. I'm still kicking myself for not buying the Matson rc from Jack...you lucky dog.

I really miss that card (the original buyer paid $650 for it before taking a beating reselling it), but figured someone else would appreciate it until such time as I could get the Leaf. Luckily, that happened with the Legendary auction. Still waiting for Sid, Sammy and Steve to arrive... That Bowman Luckman was a fun piece and I'm glad it has a nice home. Don't let him get to close to Benny Friedman, though.
Nice Luckman cards Jay and Scott - I'm very envious! Jay already knows, however I picked up a slabbed Doug Atkins rc on E-Bay for $55! That has been one of my white whales - so I'm glad to knock that one off my list. I'll post scans when I receive it.

I just looked and your Gillman signed rc is absolutely amazing! I have one signed, however the card is creased in multiple places - even though the autograph is very nice (not as nice as yours). That was a great pickup.

Thanks Greg, the Gilman is actually crease free with the exception of the bottom left corner, which is dinged. It was $50 which I felt was pretty reasonable considering most of them I've seen sell in the $65-75 range. The McAfee and Maynard are both in great condition. Neither one has any creases.

Around 1/2 the cards are to finish my 1977 Touchdown set and the other roughly half are for my HOF rc set. Overall, I'm pleased with the results. The only auto'd card that wasn't authenticated was my 1977 Touchdown Sid Luckman - which is no surprise given PSA reluctance to authenticate his autograph.

Nice grades Greg! I talked to someone that bought a 75 Fleer Immortal Roll Sid Luckman from Ron that passed PSA. I know he did a signing with him, he may have a 77 Touchdown if you need one to finish off the set.

Hey guys, I have the urge to show off some of the cards that I had signed at the CSA show last weekend. I was really pleased with how everything turned out, except for maybe the John Randle, whose signature is a lot sloppier than what I have seen on his certified auto cards. Around 1/2 the cards are to finish my 1977 Touchdown set and the other roughly half are for my HOF rc set. Overall, I'm pleased with the results. The only auto'd card that wasn't authenticated was my 1977 Touchdown Sid Luckman - which is no surprise given PSA reluctance to authenticate his autograph.

I have the urge to show off some of the cards that I had signed at the CSA show last weekend. I was really pleased with how everything turned out, except for maybe the John Randle, whose signature is a lot sloppier than what I have seen on his certified auto cards. Anyway, this brings me to 89 signed HOF rookie cards, with Y.A. Tittle, Charley Taylor and Dave Casper all (hopefully) getting signed at this weekend's Mounted Memories show. Thanks for looking!
