Jerry is the Executive Director of the Los Angeles Open golf tournament. He appeared in Santa Monica yesterday promoting it. They've had one celebrity per day doing an appearance. They never tell you who, what time and where until 24 hours beforehand.
Another fun one. This lady has had an interesting last 12 years or so. WCW and WWE Diva, model, actress, Dancing with the Stars, named hottest woman in "sports" by some. According to Wikipedia "Keibler is known for her unusually long legs.[2][4][6] She has been known as both "The Legs of WCW" and "The Legs of WWE".[5] During her time on Dancing with the Stars, judge Bruno Tonioli nicknamed her "The Weapon of Mass Seduction" because of her dancing skills and long legs.[9]"
This card was a gift from board member GregM13. Thanks Greg! Osborne was a short term NFL player that turned into a legendary college football coach. Won 3 national titles with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. After his coaching career, Dr. Osborne was a 3 term member of the US House of Representatives.
Stacy Keibler is the hottest women on Earth if you ask me. I would drink her bath water! Jennifer Montana isn't too bad either. Joe must be very happy staring at that ass when he wakes up in the morning.
Occasionally I get a chance to add true athletic prowess , and this is one of those times. These two ladies have dominated women's tennis for a number of years. Venus had a couple earlier SI for kids cards I believe, but the 2003 Net Pro set represents the first mainstream rookies of both Venus and Serena. These two are relatively tough to get autographs, so I went ahead and bought certified autographed cards of them.
That West is a really GREAT looking auto. Congrats and enjoy!

My already diverse collection, just got a little more diverse. One of my friends in Vegas got this HOF porn star to autograph her rookie card last night for me. Turned out awesome!
My friend sent me the following in an email when he sent me the scan last night:
"Jenna loved the card. She said" I wish I had this card, do you know how much it is worth" She stopped the line to show Tito and she just raved about it. She told me she was 17, when that picture was taken."
He also got her significant other, Tito Ortiz to sign a rookie card for me as well, but I'll save the Tito for it's own post.

That's a good question. I know they don't like to slab the C3PO "Erection" card anymore so not sure what their stance would be on this one. This card is not pornographic by any stretch of a rational adult imagination, and their own forum user agreement states something along the lines of the forum is not meant to be for minors, so it will be interesting to see what their stance is. I would hope they would at least do the PSA/DNA blue flip on it. I just sent CarolJ a PM to ask her .
Added this card Friday night from the same Las Vegas appearance where the Jenna Jameson was added. Mixed martial arts legend Tito Ortiz. Interesting tidbit about Tito, according to wikipedia, Ortiz cancelled a November 12, 2006 appearance as the guest of honor at the United States Marine Corps birthday ball at the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego, when the Corps refused to let him bring Jameson as his guest, due to her well-known career as a hard-core pornographer.
Got a nice TTM return. Local superstar Dirk Nowitzki of the Dallas Mavericks. Dirk has always been great to the fans down here. My son has a picture of Dirk, me, and him hanging on his wall, along with a signed mini Dirk jersey that my son was wearing about 8 to 9 years ago when one of my friends who worked for the Mavericks took us back to the locker room to meet the Mavs. My son, who was 3 to 4, played gameboy with Nash and got pictures with Nash and Dirk. Funny thing is my son doesn't enjoy sports anymore, but he still remembers Nash and Nowitzki. That jersey/photo frame job is about the only sports related thing in my son's room. I decided to add Nowitzki to my signed rookie collection so I sent him this BGS crackout. Got it back in about 14 days.

THAT is a GREAT Rick Barry. Brings back a lot of memories. I used to watch him play with the Nets at least once per week when they played in the Island Garden in West Hempstead on Long Island. I would compare it to a poor College Gym today ... less than 5,000 seats ... they were wooden bleachers, much like a high school football field would have. Cost me $1.00 to get in and I was almost sitting right on the court! AMAZING TIMES!

I guess there is no way to avoid personalization from Rick Barry. That makes 2 people who told me they sent money and it's still personalized. I'm really weary about mailing him a multi item now.
This was a gift from Keith AKA des1984 This hurler won both a Cy Young and a World Series MVP. His first two years were a rough start as he was 14 games under .500 but he was a tremendous pitcher during the mid to late 80's and finished with a career record of 176 wins and 150 losses.
Bought a neat one from fellow board member wrestlingcardking. Gable autographs are fairly common, but the card itself is tough. Here's some background on Gable from Wikipedia. Dan Gable (born October 25, 1948, in Waterloo, Iowa) is an American amateur wrestler. He is famous for having only lost one match in his entire Iowa State University collegiate career—his last, and winning gold at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, Germany WHILE NOT GIVING UP A SINGLE POINT. He was the head coach at the University of Iowa where he won 15 NCAA team titles from 1976-1998, after which he turned over his head coaching duties to Jim Zalesky.
Dan did not know this card existed when I had him sign the card for me (he has signed a few of them for me). This was in 2002 some thirty years after the card was produced. Dan does collect some of this trading cards. Glad to have a real wrestler in your collection.

The stars are out this weekend in Dallas because of the NBA All Star festivities, and I happened to be in the right place at the right time to snag this one. This young lady doesn't do TTM, and it's hard to get her in person because she's constantly on the move. While technically not her rookie, it is her 2nd year card. At 6 years of age, and 42 lbs (with heavy clothes and shoes), her imposing presence makes in person collecting very intimidating. I present to you,

This guy is not a HOF'er, but he was one of the guys I used to love to watch growing up. I remember being excited when he was traded to the Rangers in 1979. Dad took me out to Arlington Stadium to watch him play. Great fun!! Mickey held the Rangers single season hits record until Michael Young several years back. There was a private signing over on SCN so I sent my Rivers rookie in and had it signed. Here's some photos from the signing that the organizer took. Classic Mickey Rivers.
