I've got to admit, I don't like our chances with Dice-K on the hill tonight. I know that somehow all year long he has managed to walk batters and find a way out of jams, but with the Angels combination of aggressive hitting, fundamental skills, and speed, I'm afraid 5 or 6 walks could easily translate into 5 or 6 runs. I hope to God that I'm wrong though.

What is stupid is Pap gets a "blown save" for letting a runner from third score with no outs with a one run lead. That situation is a TAD more difficult that no outs, no one on base, and a three run lead.

Youk caught the ball in the photographer area. Those photographers are trained to lay down when the ball gets near them. They would lose their spot if they ever interfered. The ump was right there, and if a fan interfered, it would have been an obvious out.

I bailed in the first game just before Bay hit the dinger. However, I hung in to the end last night and a bit beyond. Well worth the wait, one helluva game. Those Angel fans need to dump the monkey thing, they really do look stupid waving a stuffed toy monkey around like it would actually have some effect on the game. Much like the foam tomahawk choppers here in Atlanta, it's just really silly.
I am now officially changing my name for J D Drew from "oh God, the boat anchor" to "Mr. Drew, sir". Talk about a clutch homer!! My view of you know who in the bullpen remains unchanged, let us hope we don't see him unless it's a score of 15-0.

What a great game last night! Total team effort. Here's a scary thing Angels fans....we are winning with out the normal timely hitting from Pedroia. Watch out when he starts!
Just got an email from the Rays and I have been selected to have the opportunity to purchase ALCS tickets to game 1-2. I'm buying them no matter what, but here's hoping it's Sox and Rays!!!
