<< <i>Looks like we've got ourselves a good old-fashioned rally going here in the 3rd inning. How about we score some more freakin' (but boring?) runs? >>
How's that?
There were so many boring runs being scored by those boring Red Sox bats that it put me to sleep. I need a nap.
Thanks my fine Sox loving friend Life has been crazy after "helping" my wife push out two boys in the last 15 months. I almost forgot about this place for a while. But all it took was for something to fire me up as I started passing through again a week or so ago ..... so, business as usual now
Dan, always a pleasure my friend- congrats on the newborn
And now like you said back to bussiness. Its a nice 3 game win streak we got going along with the Rays dropping 3 to cut our deficit to 2 games back- sure the Yanks won 4 in a row but reamain 6.5 back I think? Things are looking up- Buccholz and Papi will be back soon and things will only get better.

Very interesting .... Paul ..... this kind of post would cause massive flame wars in Yankee threads if the dreaded Bronx Bombers had the gall to win another World Series. Even DAYS after Yankee championships we have to play defense to all kinds of rhetoric. MUCH worse then a Phillie fan can produce.
I posted THIS in another thread. IT HOLDS WEIGHT ..... TRUST ME. Take from a fan of a team that has the balls to WIN from time to time.
Enjoy the time Sox fans! Just be careful as you guys are in un charted territory. The large percentage of you used to lambast other fans .... and mainly Yankee fans for having the gall to remember something from five, ten, twenty, etc years ago. If the Sox don't win for another ten or twenty years don't be shocked when y'all are called out for "living in the past" for having the balls to reflect proudly on those times ....... Then your reaction is SCREW THAT, THOSE WERE SOME FUN F'ING TIMES.
Take MCMLVTopps for example. This Red Sox "fan" does not tolerate a Yankee fan for having the balls to remember a run which BLOWS AWAY what the Red Sox have done lately. And it happened in JUST in the last decade really. What would a Red Sox faithful be like having won FOUR World Series in FIVE years? THREE of them in a ROW?
Enjoyit Sox fans ..... really, I mean it! Just remember though! Success gets OLD really really quick to those who don't have a clue. Y'all have a clue now .... I bet Sox fans are better because of it.
Nah, all Im doing is throwing a jab at Lil Kevie. Honestly Dan I think its obvious at this point that most Red Sox fans including myself are over lambasting Yankees fans and their revelling in their past success, now that we have a few "Recent" World Series rings it takes the hate filled jealousy away now- at least for me it does. Im always going to hate the Yankees and root against them but ( speaking for myself here ) Im way past the payroll thing and buying players to help win, like I said many times before the Sox smartened up and are in the same position as the Yankees are in their approach to winning Im just sorry it took us so long to realize its neccesary to win.
The Yankees could win the World Series this year or whenever and I can promise you I would make no excuses and realize they won fair and square, at this point though I dont see it happening- regardless of our high priced free agents I think we have a solid group of young guys and I hope we can win another one before they become high priced free agents..
True GEM by Joba last night too, heralded as the next Babe Ruth in physical appearance only. Glad we didnt tout Buchholtz and the be all end all lights out savior.
Whooops....forgot all about the Rays. Everyone who's been giving me a hard time at work has gotten real quiet. That's okay, their fans have a lot to learn. It's a long season and you don't start with the smack talk before the AS break.
I was so happy today, I finally got to drop Lugo from a fantasy baseball team I have. Its a 12 team league, big rosters, so there were little choices left to replace him with. Now, I can pickup Lowrie and maybe get some production from that spot.
Please send your thank you cards to The Cleveland Indians, for sweeping the DemonRays As a Tribe fan I'm amazed they won 3 games in A ROW! I'd be happy with 3 games a month at this point.
Yank-Me's lost to the lowly BlowJays....looks like you guys should be A-OK for the 2nd half. (try to keep Loozer I mean Lugo) on the DL for the rest of the year...
<< <i>Today, during Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN, Peter Gammons reported that the Braves offered Teixeira to the Boston Red Sox for Kevin Youkilis and a minor league prospect. The Red Sox said no because Youkilis has been on the team for a few years and wouldn't make sense to get rid of a productive first baseman who is a clubhouse favorite. >>

By the way it's nice to see Drew and Manny going Back to Back!
Ortiz is scheduled for some rehab in the minors and return to MLB on July 25. Potentially great news!
