<< <i>Really my third. One I never received as the seller sent a different coin, and then claimed he didn't know what happened to the coin pictured. >>
That's an incredibly shady thing for a seller to do. If the seller doesn't state anything about the coin in the picture being the coin in the auction, then I always ask just to make sure it's not a "stock" photo.

Was playing with the qx3 and the 21 S VAM-1B4A that showed up today. Noticed several die gouges in the lower part of the hair. I'm assuming since this die state is rather well documented that this is normal and that isnt worth a mention at VAMworld correct?
I'll see your bunny with a pancake on his head and raise you a Siamese cat with a miniature pumpkin on his head.
You wouldn't believe how long it took to get him to sit still for this.
A preliminary diagnosis of the "mystery" 1880-P MS64 PCGS I bought out of the Heritage Long Beach auction because I strongly suspected it was a checkmark variety, is it's one of the newer checkmark discoveries: VAM 25. This conclusion was reached via photos by a collector who has a Leroy-attributed VAM 25 example to compare them to. Now I just have to get together in person with him for final verification.
Haven't posted finds in a while and I have a stack of stuff sitting in front of me. But the favorites are:
1883-O VAM 36A - NGC MS64 1890-O Vam 10 - PCGS 63, OGH 1921-D VAM 1Q - AU raw 1888-O Oval O either AU58 or 63, probably 58 1921-D VAM 3A, second one in the last few months 1888-O VAM 7A, only AG - but I can't pass on a 7A
A biggie from the Austin show (same dealer I got the 1901-Micro O from in San Antonio). 1921-D VAM-3A Streamer Wing:
You Suck! Awarded 6/2008- 1901-O Micro O Morgan, 8/2008- 1878 VAM-123 Morgan, 9/2022 1888-O VAM-1B3 H8 Morgan | Senior Regional Representative- ANACS Coin Grading. Posted opinions on coins are my own, and are not an official ANACS opinion.

that sucks. I would b*tch up a storm!
<< <i>Yeh I was a little angry. Gave out my first neg over it but It's been well over a year ago, so i'm over it now. >>
The main thing with pictures is whether or not you are 100% sure about the Vam being there.
Sometime our Vamming eyes play tricks on us and make us believe that a coin is a certain Vam even though it's not.
Something like a "Tail on O" is hard to miss, and I highly doubt that the seller accidently used a picture of one.
<< <i>nice EDS 1D... do you have any high end top 50 stuff? I'm putting together a set and would probably be interested. >>
Take this to the BST. We don't need people soliciting their wants and needs on the "Latest VAM Finds?" thread!
1879-S, Vam 36,Cootie Jaw,PCGS MS 66
I had stopped accumulating these and then the Hit LIst 40 happened.
