VAMs that I've recently gotten in or hadn't gotten around to attributing till the last week or two.

I'll see your bunny with a pancake on his head and raise you a Siamese cat with a miniature pumpkin on his head.
You wouldn't believe how long it took to get him to sit still for this.
<< <i>Wow what a great find. You should make a post all it's own so you can rub it in more of our faces. "You Suck" >>
LOL. Yeah, the toner guys haven't seen it yet. Not trying to rub it in anyone's face. Don't get this VAM excitement too often. Not since I found an 1887 VAM-1B actually.

Those VAM-50As must only come in PCGS MS64. Funny how that is. Neat group.
My big Morgan VAM find this week was a nice VF-35 1880 VAM-1A Knobbed 8, that is probably a mid to late die state. I have been searching for one for years, and my search is finally over.

You just reminded me I got an EDS 1880 VAM-1A AU'ish about a week ago. Its been dipped so many times that it looks like its been "galvanized"
Looking back now I think it was so sad to see the condition of it that I tried to put it out of my mind.
I'll see your bunny with a pancake on his head and raise you a Siamese cat with a miniature pumpkin on his head.

It is surprising how those 80-P VAM-1As don't jump right out at you like you would expect. Even LDS ones seem more subtle than you would think in hand.
First for this month like last..... Some recent peace vam grades.....

My two most recent acquisitions: 1883-CC VAM3, NGC MS64 GSA 1884-CC VAM5A, NGC MS64 GSA
The '84-CC looks like a Mint employee went crazy cleaning the die. There are scratches going every which way on the reverse. One such scratch makes the eagle look like it has a (horizontally) spiked tongue, and another makes it look like the eagle was speared from below the lower part of its beak right through the top part of its beak. The upper portion looks like an antenna you might see on a vintage airplane.
But, my favorite finds were: 1885-CC VAM 4, PCGS MS65, Hot 50 1884 O/O VAM6, PCGS MS64DMPL, Top 100
That is because both were already in PCGS slabs unattributed. I submitted them to PCGS at FUN last January to include the attributions.
78 VAM-117(raw AU) 78 VAM-220(raw AU) 80O V13A(raw AU55+) 82 O/S VAM-4(raw VF35) 89O VAM-6(raw dipped XF) Then there's one that I can't attribute: 87O with a clashed G in her neck in a raw MS64; no it's not a VAM-22A, no pitted rev. Here's some scans:
Not a find, but a steal of a buy on eBay: Top 100 1880-O VAM 49 (8/7 overdate plus hangnail) in ANACS XF45 for $200.50 delivered.
The eBay seller's pictures absolutely sucked (dark and semi-nasty looking) and must have scared folks away. In hand, however, the coin is stone-original, with light natural toning over very lustrous surfaces. I think it has at least a 50-50 chance of being an XF45 at PCGS.

It was advertised as a VAM 6B, which has since been changed to VAM 49. That may have made some folks breeze right past it too. It was eBay item #260296073568
A couple...1878 VAM-58 Long Nock (fugly, I know!):

Only thing in last night's online auctions that looked interesting I picked up: a 1921-D VAM-1G LDS NGC MS64. Only other one recently picked that comes to mind is an 1884-O VAM-32A in PCGS MS65.
My friend, James Arnold, recently scored a 1889-O Crumbled Stars:

Just a few maintenance ones from Teletrade. Didn't look at Heritage tonight.
1878-S VAM-17A NGC 62 (first one in my 17A tribe that isn't PCGS 63) 1903-O VAM-16A PCGS 64 (upgrades my NGC 63 and is the finest at this point I think) 1921-D VAM-1AH ICG 63 (nice LDS example)
