My buyback was a Bob Lillis rookie stars card. He played for the Dodgers for 3 years and finished his career out with Houston. 549 career hits, 3 hr, .236 batting avg = nothing to write home about. Card is in pretty nice condition though and the fact it's a rookie is sweet.
The panel gave me a little Rays fix. Carlos Pena- Carmona- Matsuzaka. Very nice.
I was cleaning out my car this morning and found a buyback in its wrapper that somehow escaped me last Friday. The condition is not so bad for the buybacks I've seen.
The shop by my office still had boxes for $57, so I grabbed two more. No buybacks in those. The panels are still in the car. The boxes were decent - nothing special.
Also puled a shiny Wang out of that box.

Sweet, I went to grade school with Fred Kipp's son. Got Fred's auto back in the 80's, I think on a '55 or '56 card. I'm sure I still have it around somewhere.
Sorry for the 3rd consecutive post. Just got home from work and playing catch up.
So early this morning I posted about this guy. He first came up on my radar when I noticed he had two Jon Smoltz cards listed (the variation). I asked him if he really had two, or had he mislisted. He replied that he pulled both from the same pack. Wow! I emailed him back after I saw that he also had three Santana variations up (he only has five total auctions going at the moment). I told him he must be incredibly lucky & asked him how much product he busted. Got the reply tonight - he claims that he pulled all three from the same pack. Ummm, ok. I think I'm calling BS.
Doran definitely has the scoop of the Heritage (percentage-wise) season so far. Enigma is a heavy Heritage hitter and got my dual last year (I think a board member?). If anybody gets anything Joba related, sell it as fast at you can. The kids love the Joba. You can always buy it back later.

I have seen stranger things occur with Heritage. I remember way back in 2001 opening retail blasters that had 4 to 5 sp cards in a single pack duplicates were not unheard of. In 2004 I pulled a pack with 6 of the same card in it (non-sp)
However it does seem strange this seller has 3 of one and 2 of another and no other Heritage cards listed.

only 5 cards on ebay cause the other 3 in the 1 pack he bought were autographs for his own collection?

Remember, we're talking "Topps" and "collation" in the same sentence. Anything is possible, though highly improbable, unlikely, and doubtful. This time, I think my money is better spent going to the IRS. (Never thought I'd say that.)
Pulled 3 clubhouse collections, 3 add panels, 3 refractors, 9 chrome, black back in every pack, 8 cards in every pack and the usual suspects as far as inserts. I think it was the most average break I've had...meaning it didn't suck but it wasn't great. I had my list I was going to bring in today but I left it at home.
Observations: You can see through the add panel packs. I think I may leave mine unopened. Are any of these autographed or anything?
The refractors I pulled seemed short L/R. Has anyone else noticed this?
I really like the looks of the cards. But some of the photos seem fuzzy for no reason.

This has probably been discussed already, but what's the deal with the two Jerry Owens cards (198 and 310). Looks like the same pic but different colored border. Were 198 and 310 of the original 1959 set the same player?
Well it's not an actual pull, but I just picked this up on ebay, the sellers feedback is a little questionable (98.3%), but it seemed like a steal since the odds are 1:55,000
Thanks guys I was pretty happy with it. Kevin, it is the stadium seat relic. How are you guys storing your ad panels? Are there binder sheets for them?
I have seen a few cards showing players in new uniforms due to recent trades. I would look for variations possibly in retail. There were variations like that in '59. Perhaps that is why retail is taking longer this year. Topps usually throws a few surprises into Heritage.
As far as the green backs with black back counterparts being in short supply, I think retail will make any of those differences negligible. So, if buyers are paying a premium for those green backs, you may want to make hay while the sun is shining.
