Nothing can compete with Perkdog's Perkies, but I'm glad that you like it .
Funny how fast some so-called 'fans' who were calling for A-rod's head or saying he only delivered in April have come around...just in time to see him give them all the bird as he moves to a city that will actually appreciate him.

Still telling lies Axtroll? You know perfectly well that I said he carried the team in the month of April only and has played great since. The difference is that many more Yanks are contributing greatly too, but you wouldn't know that because you're just an ignorant Yankee hater who doesn't watch the games.
Oh and if he does leave NY I can guarantee you that Seattle will never get him.
It's even funnier that some 'fans' are so self-conscious that they feel the need to defend their posts when they weren't even being addressed in the first place.

Sure
Anyway you posted about the Yankees, and I'm going to respond to any of your posts that have to do with the Yankees because I want to make sure that you're getting the attention you deserve.
I see that the the Detroit Tigers got absolutely clobbered by the Texas Rangers today 13-6. EXCELLENT. Not that we need it though.

<< <i>What, no HR from A-Rod last night? Are the Yankees slipping?

oh god!!!! he's carried them all year!!!! all by himself!!!! he plays every position!!!!!, oh well it was a good run, but its over now, can't wait to '08
The Yanks are now 5-0 on this crucial 9 game road trip. I want them to win every game but the math is starting to look nice. If the Yankees can manage to go JUST 9-8 the rest of the way the Tigers would have to win at a 11-4 clip JUST TO TIE. yeah baby ...... now, lets finish off the Jays and then continue to batter the Sox vaunted staff like we have all year.
how long before someone starts making "Rally Squirrel" items like the Rally Monkey in Anaheim?
lets finish off the jays tonight, very very glad Moose FINALLY stepped it up last night.
Mr. Kennedy......kennedy goes tonight, 4 up in the wild card, 5 back in the east (but only 4 back in the loss column). This weekend should be VVVVVVEEERRRRYYYYY interesting.
on a side note, i hated to see it happen, but glad joba got that first run cherry popped (although it was unearned), don't want his head getting too big
<< <i>Angels are having a lottery for play-off tickets this year. This is a first for us. How's it handled in Yankee land? >>
Probably whichever front runners are willing to pony up the most money to be 'seen' in yankee stadium at playoff time...they likely don't use a fair system like a lottery.
<< <i>Saturdays matchup is Wang (18-6) vs Beckett (18-6)

Good point. I was hoping the D-Rays would finish the job against the Sox last night, but Ortiz ruins the day again!! We'll have to watch out for him come playoff time. Too bad he is so well protected in that line-up. One thought that makes me feel good heading into the post season is we have the best record since the All-Star break. I do fear the Angels though.
Either way it should be a very exciting post-season!!!
<< <i>Angels are having a lottery for play-off tickets this year. This is a first for us. How's it handled in Yankee land? >>
Most playoff tickets go to season ticket holders ..... a large amount of the 55,000 plus that the Stadium seats are held by season ticket holders. Its pretty much the higher levels of the upper deck and the bleachers that go up for sale...... and for those you have to line up for them like the good ol days .....
The way I figure it if the Yankees win tonight they only need to take 2 of 3 in Boston to have a shot at the AL East. However, if the Yankees lose I think they would have to sweep Boston this weekend to have a realistic chance. The weekend series is also important because if the Yankees and Red Sox end tied with the same records at the end of the season but the Yankees take 2 out of 3 in Boston this weekend, then the Yankees would win the division by virtue of a better record in regular season head to head competition just like in 2005.
I think both don't want to play the Angels with their great pitching in a short first round 5 game series. The Yankee and Red Sox should be careful what they wish for as far as winning the AL East. The Angels and Indians are so close that the Indians could very well end up with a better record and end up playing the Wild Card team leaving the Angels to the AL East winner.

Ian Kennedy's been great! He has the lowest ERA (a little over 2.00) among all Yankee starters but this is only his 3rd game.

Yes it was and yes he did! Against a very good hitting Blue Jays team too. A 1 Hitter no less!!!!

heh the blue jays are a very good hitting team? The team that's 10th out of 14 in OPS (beating such power teams as Chicago, Minnesota, Oakland) and beating only Oakland and Chicago in BA.
Toronto is a TERRIBLE hitting team, please be accurate before you start slurping a guy.

THAT was the BIGGEST win of the season for us thus far. For many reasons too ...... the Yanks played bad, they were down, D-Mat squeaking in and out of trouble, Giambi pissing me off to no end .... and then it all changed with Giambi of all people in the 8th. Paplepucker and Okajima wilted and we cam back. WOW ....... we NEEDED that win as the Tigers won too .... VERY BIG WIN FELLAS...... NO DOUBT ABOUT IT

looks like the tigers have cleared their heads, they may be the ones we have to worry about for the wild card, not the M's.

Head and shoulders above every other player in baseball right now.
