All kidding aside it's only the 5th inning. Plenty of time for Bosox to overcome a 9-6 deficit.
"The answer was in the Patriots eyes. Gone were the swagger and c0ck sure smirks, replaced by downcast eyes and heads in hands. For his poise and leadership Eli Manning was named the game's MVP. The 2007 Giants were never perfect nor meant to be. They were fighters, scrappers....now they could be called something else, World Champions."

Dab Nabbit I un-jinxed them. I hereby put another jinx on and stuck a needle in one of those MacFarlane Ortiz figures.

despite the remarkable comeback, this is not the way to head into the postseason. Doesn't pitching win in the postseason? Seems Wakefield left his good stuff in July.
either a blind squirrel just found a nut or JD Blew was upset that little Dustin Pedroia had equalled his home run total for the season earlier in the game.

LOL. Gag me with a 7 run lead. Is it big enough? No, I am not talking about his stomach.

I figured the Sox would win by one with Gagme in the game. He did GREAT (in comparison to past performances, of course). Only two hits, only one run in only one inning. He sucks.
Meanwhile the Yankees bought up another hard throwing youngster Ross Ohlendorf who they insisted on in the Randy Johnson trade. Let's see, they got Vizcaino, Ohlendorf, and another hard thrower for an aging, broken down, malcontent.. The future is very exciting for Yankee fans.

yeah right, and only two weeks ago you were whining like a 3 year old who lost his sippy cup because the Yankees got to play the in YOUR WORDS "junior varsity" D-Rays.
<<If games like that don't convince you that this team is on a mission, then I don't know what will.>>
Are you guys going to score 16 runs tonight too? It looks like the Yankees are on quite the mission themselves.

This team is on a mission! And, we're coming into prime Big Papi time - still no one better in the clutch than him.
Now, lets get ready for a Yankee smackdown this weekend - these guys are starting to get their hopes up down there...it's time for a reality check. And, nothing would make me happier than to knock Jabba The Hut around a bit in the process...
(Dan, is it still a sippy cup if I have beer in it?)
What's it gonna be? The evil empire could come into Fenway with a 4.5 or 5.5 game deficit. They have a rookie going tonight against Burnett - who I might add has been pitching very well lately.
<< <i>Angels are having a lottery for play-off tickets this year. This is a first for us. How's it handled in BoSox land? >>
after the season ticket holders get their share, there is a lottery. In fact, that's how the Sox do it for REGULAR SEASON games too! You sign up on the internet to see if you get the right to TRY to get tickets for various games during the season. There might be some out there, but I can't imagine a tougher ticket in baseball for regular season games.

all that I concern myself with is the loss column -- and that's four games right now. Five would be nice, especially with Matsuzaka pitching game one. He needs to shut it down for a week and a half to rest if the Sox expect him to be effective in the post season.
Yanks not playing well at all .... this pisses me off. I have no problem losing if they play hard and well, but they are NOT playing well tonight. Base running, defense ..... ughhhh

I don't believe in Destiny. I believe in pitching, Dustin Pedroia, Mike Lowell, and Manny being Manny...whenever that might happen again.

I'm sure the season ticket holders and everyone else will get there crack at the tickets before they are used for the lottery.
Wish me luck!!!
