I have no stake in this as I didn't bust any packs, but this would make for a quick episode of Law & Order....

<< <i>At this point folks, I strongly feel that there is enough evidence to involve Federal authorities... I am not a victim in this so I can't be the one to initiate the proceedings, but I strongly urge one of you to contact your local FBI office tomorrow... well in excess of $10,000 worth of material has been allegedly tampered with, with both the funds and the product crossing state lines... this is a VERY serious crime. >>

One on one=Divide and conquer. It's a common arguing technique. There are too many people involved in this for it to be one on one. All of the evidence and accusations are in this thread. Why would you want to take it private to 50 different people? You want to spend the rest of the month PMing people?

We are all listening and waiting for some compelling evidence on your behalf. Many feel there is more than enough to the contrary.

I'm in California. Gary stated he drove 5 hrs to get his "unopened boxes" in San Diego which is 2hrs from me. So Gary must be in Central CA, a short 3hr drive from me.

I can honestly say that I dont remember who did the FIRST Football rip....but if it was you, then Im not jumping on any bashing bandwagon and I DO have a stake in all of this.

I think everyone on this board deserves open honest answers. And nevermind responding to my post, how about answering some of those questions?

I am one that said lets see what you have to say and sending packs for authentication and see how it pans out.

You have put yourself in this position. Wanting to ship instead of BBCE, purchasing wrappers, purchasing lots, and asking for wrappers and cards to everyone on this board...all similar to the busts that have been happening.

What was the purpose of buying 84 Topps Football wax wrappers in bulk?
  • Hey,

Just so I am following here - is the thought that 80'sjunkie:

    - Pulled some of the packs out of legit BBCE boxes and pulled the good cards. Then replaced them with commons and off-center cards from his E-bay buys and sent them out ?

    - Took whole boxes out of legit BBCE cases and created his own boxes/packs to send out to board members? If so, what happened to the original untainted boxes?

Not sure I have seen anyone nail down exactly what is suspected. Thanks.

I suggest that any of you who feel you may have been defrauded back up as much information from these threads as possible... the images of the boxes, his posts, claims about FedEx not delivering on Monday when he missed the delivery on Thursday/Friday (that is a very key piece of evidence that shows if he got the box on Friday he had ample time to search and reseal prior to claiming to receive the fresh case on Tuesday)... email threads to your selves, copy photos out of threads... this is critical information that needs to be reported when this case is filed with the FBI.

Good luck to all of you!

$155 PayPal refund for the Football rip please..No wonder I pulled garbage..Any of the rookies Ive seen were not even grade worthy...

Now we know why these were the worst BBCE packs ever..

I'm sure Steve Hart would be interested in pursuing this as well..Since these are his great packs/boxes that are being slandered and defrauded...

  • Softparade,

Oh, totally agree that the boxes pictured on his thread and the one's from the E-bay buy are indeed the same. That one is a flat out lie. My question was around the packs/boxes sent out for the board rips and is he sitting on a bunch of good stuff right now stashed in his house. I am guessing that if he pulled a switch or pulled all of the nicely centered stars he didn't sell them on E-bay yet or you guys would have really had his a**.

    Ken,
The inference is that Gary has been buying wrappers, singles, and boxes, and "building" unopened packs, then replacing those with some of the ones he got from Steve Hart, then sending those searched packs out to us and keeping the legit packs.

One could also suspect that he may have opened and resealed some of the packs he got from Steve.

Hope this clears it up for you.

Wow. I'm as stunned as everyone else. I only participated in the break I organized, but I've always been disappointed by the lack of big stars in the other threads.

If anyone wants to see where the busts all started, here it is. While I thought that rip was a lot of fun, and I was thrilled to see the 1975 mini bust, I'm sick to my stomach to see where this has gone.

    Sorry, guys.

    Hi Gary

    This is very sad.

And, I do think you're between a rock and a hard place.

Presumption of innocence is the hallmark of our Republic.

But, I do have a simple question: why all the "editing?"

Also, I have to say - circumstantial evidence is accumulating. Can you see how this can make you look a wee bad? And I say bad - not guilty.
