Went out Feb. 3, 2007 about 6:30 AM. Hit the park in the center of town-Plaza Park. It was made in 1910,
Got to get in early and be neat.
    image

I took the Prizm 2 for this part of the hunt. I have about 4 hours on this unit. I was able to pin point well with the Prizm.
    image
    image

I used a small bulb planter for the plug. It is good on this type of lawn. Soft sod, no rocks and small roots.

Found four coins right on top of the grass..one is under the coil.
    image

    I see you ;-)
    image
A little help from a small flashlight...
    image

I was using the White's Bulls Eye pin pointer..
    image
    image

I use a screwdriver for probing targets under 4 inch.
    image
    image

Not much damage to the grass.
    image

    Sat. Feb. 10th 2007
Detector used: White's DFX with BigFoot coil, DX1 Pin Pointer, also used the White's Bulls Eye Pin Pointer.
I was out to this school tot lot, and found that they were putting in a track. A good chance to get to the deeper targets :-)

    image
    image

I had to work fast..The workers were already at it at 6:30 AM.
I made a pass around the track and hit most of the piles also.

Thanks for taking us with you CoC.

I love how nice and neat you are, then I scroll down and see a bobcat and the place all torn up and I'm thinking "man, CoC brought out the big guns for this hunt!!"

That 44D is in nice shape, all things considered.

LOL..The bobcat would make things easy. I had the though---Just dump that stuff in my pickup truck. I could take it home and clean it up. :-)

    My photos...
The outdoors photos are from my cell phone. Not to bad, and easy to take along.
I used the Sony Mavica for the other photos. It is no fun to take the Sony on hunts.

    Good round Jerry!

Unfortunately, I'm snow bound and have had temps in the negatives for the last week.
More snow is in the forecast for the next 2 days on top of what you see below.

    image

No worries though, our alternate digger BentFork is on the case!

Be on the lookout for his opening of Round 9.

Stay tuned folks. I'll start handing out the entries for Round 9 in a bit. GoldRush is still socked in weatherwise and I'll be substituting.

Sorry you can't make it, John. It does look pretty though.

Thank you, Jerry. It'll be my pleasure.

Round 9 is open. Number 97 goes to the first person who can answer this question.

In The Day the Earth Stood Still, Michael Rennie tells Patrica Neal if something happens to him, she must get to Gort and say.. What?

    Interesting...
Number 100 is open to the first person to ask for it. Number 98 and 99 are still open though.

For number 101. What is Tom Custer famous for during the Civil War? The answer is doubly astounding.
