    Drinkin' with Curt Flood! Awesome.

This new addition has been on my list forever with this centering and grade! Tough card.

Picked this card up a while back , and by no means is it a tough card to pick up ..........very plentiful
and cheap ! I just love the Colt 45's hats and uniforms ........and this card shows both very clearly ! Too
bad Houston and MLB determined that it wasn't a good image to portray !

I believe Aspromonte had the first hit in Houston baseball history! And was also the last active former Brooklyn Dodger.

  • marinermariner Posts: 2,603 ✭✭✭✭

beautiful Aspromonte....I too really like the Colt .45's uniforms....I lived in central Texas as a kid when they became a franchise, so there is a special connection there.

Probably my favorite card in the set.

  • marinermariner Posts: 2,603 ✭✭✭✭

The Aaron is a great card in the set and that one is gorgeous! I will post some more scans in the near future. :)

I noticed that in the Basic list. Can't wait! I was hoping though that you were tired of this set and thinking of selling some to me! :'(

More than ok to post any and all 63 Topps stuff in here, Robby.

As for Bob, if you ever have the chance to tour his basement, Opps or OMG could apply to a whole lot of things

I'm a retired mailman since 2007 .................and " Oop's " always reminds me of a Lady on my Postal route
whose nickname was Oops ........................she constantly said Oops whenever she made a mistake ! Always thought that was the funniest nickname ! OMG is one of my favorite expressions and I say that every time I see Bob's extensive collection on
    here !

Robby....I really like your 1963 Peel-Off Aspromonte. The Colt .45's were the first team I saw play in their second year.

Thanks Don ..............................just received this one in the mail today .........the seller
stated that he thought it was deserving of a Psa 9 ................When I held it in my hand , I have to agree ,
even though it's in a new holder ! Psa is very stingy in handing out 9's and 10's on vintage star cards !

Time to add a couple of tough cards to the thread. Terribly difficult to come by. Picked up the Brewer in a private deal. Jack was eBay.

Guys - Really enjoying this thread.
I had picked up a few 63's here and there over the last half year with nothing in mind but their beauty. The color and images are stunning. The "thin" borders make centering a priority to acquiring a nice card.
That is an incredible Aaron base card shared above.
    SlipC.

Always remember Dallas as being the guy that helped rebuild the Cubs in 1984 and get to the Post Season for the
first time since the 1945 World Series team ...........almost a 40 year drought ! Terrific looking card SlipC !

No, they were from a collection somewhat local. Been trying to buy the collection for 5 years. The guy finally gave in when I blew him away with a cash offer

Hey Don, That is the biggest print blemish I have ever seen this side of my '63 Houk inside the circle on the Pierce. Lucky nine I say.

Looks like one of Bob's squashed bug variants. I think he creates his by inserting the cards under a wiper on his car wishield.
